Great experience, great food! Would definitely return to try the rwst of their dishes! Highly recommended the leek soup, pate, chorizo and broccolini! Would pass only on the rusa chival salad.
the atmosphere is just... happy! everyone stops by your table to make sure that you are good. The food is beyond amazing like nothing I've had before. We will be back and everyone should go and keep going!
The whole experience, from the delicious food, to the excellent service from your professional staff, to the ambience is all outstanding. The greenhouse is a perfect setting for privacy and an enhanced experience on these cold winter nights.
The food was fenomenal and the place it is super nice! The service was perfect. The bread pudding was delicious ?
Went for Valentines dinner and had a marvelous time! Split a bottle of wine and ordered small/medium plates. Everything was delicious, well thought out, and left me wanting more.
A true culinary gem hiding behind an unassuming facade, and I am so happy to have found this place. The menu consists mainly of small and shareable tapas style plates with a few main courses added in, but rest assured that whichever menu item you choose, it will delight and tickle your palate. The open kitchen provides insight into how much care is being put into the execution and presentation of each dish, and the resulting complex and multi tiered flavor experiences do not disappoint. There is also a full bar along with a carefully curated cocktail menu should you care to get your buzz on. And as if all of this wasn't quite enough, the staff is nothing short of wonderful. They are passionate about food and drink, very knowledgeable in regards to the menu, and they will go out of their way to make you not only feel welcome but downright at home. I was hooked after my first visit and am looking forward to returning here often and bringing my friends.
Incredible chefs and one of the best/unique food experiences in Portland.
Despite having made a reservation weeks in advance, they failed to reserve one of the huts for us as promised. Instead they had me sit on a heated cushion in below-freezing weather. They then acted like this was somehow *my* fault even though we had made a reservation and even confirmed it earlier that day. The food was under-seasoned and the service was slow. I wish we had just gone elsewhere because they ruined my birthday dinner.
Really great restaurant with excellent food and lovely staff. Personally, i found it a bit loud and not very cozy (I kept my coat on). Greenhouses look fun!
We'd made outdoor reservations but it POURED rain, so the staff found us seating at the bar. It turned out better than we expected. Our bartender was great to talk with, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant and the city, the food was perfect, creative, delicious, presented gorgeously. Watching the crew at work from the bar was a perk of the whole experience. Do not sleep on Chaval!
