On my list of places to eat in Portland, this place is a must try. My friend and I got here early afternoon and our wait was very short. We were promptly seated at a table for two and handed both a menu and a drink menu. We both ordered a take on a ginger mule along with gyoza for an appetizer. For our main courses my friend ordered pad Thai and I ordered curry. The gyoza were perfect, had great texture and the dipping sauce complemented perfectly. My curry was delicious and flavorful but lacked heat. They don't have options for spice levels here but have a chili oil you can ask for. My friend said her pad Thai was delicious and the noodles were tender and soft. Overall, this place was wonderful and should be on your list of places to go to in Portland.
Excellent food. Prepared as described. Healthy portions. My husband enjoyed the spicy versions. Friendly fast service. Absolutely no complaints. We tried the Shrimp fried rice, Brussel sprouts, bacon wrapped scallops, and Kra-Prao Chicken (4).
Excellent Thai food! Can’t wait to come back! Great customer service. The food came out hot and delicious and presented well. It’s great to have a place that’s open late with dine in and such amazing food with excellent flavors! Everything we ordered was perfect! This is definitely a new Thai food contender!Update: We have been back two more times this week! Still amazing! Great friendly staff ❤️???
We had a small wait on a Tuesday evening, but it was worth the wait. We had the quail eggs (must try) and the goi tod (mushroom salad). Both had such unique flavor and texture. I ordered the Pad Thai, it was glass noodles instead of the traditional rice noodles, and then wrapped in a thin omelette. Out of this world. Boda is a must try whenever we are in town.
Beef panang was so not up to par..chewy and stringy... not like previous versions..portions very small. Fried peanuts had NO herbs/spice.. the thing that made it unique and different. Very different vibe in the restaurant.. ordered takeout... was spoken to harshly by the staff when asked if I should go collect my order from the bench. No idea how that worked.... every place is different.Overall... subpar takeout experience that was disappointing...
I loved going to Boda for a long time now. The menu is missing some of my favorite options that they used to offer, but i understand things change. Same great service! Always a great spot to grab apps and a drink.
Service was great even when it was busy. Some of the best pad thai and drunken noodles we've had. Pad thai was unique because it was wrapped in egg. Looked like an omelette. Quail eggs were delicious but a very simple dish. I've never had quail eggs before but this tasted like regular chicken eggs. Everything we had was gluten and shellfish free. Very allergy friendly place. Have to go back and eat more!
Great for food, not for feeling welcome. I used to love Boda and I still love the food, it is amazing. However the last few times I have gone and sat at the bar it has been a pretty terrible experience. The bartenders are rude, inattentive and unwelcoming. My partner and I have been in several times and each time the bar tender has been extremely rude and unfriendly. We had to send our drinks back because they were undrinkable, and a dish that smelled off. The bartender just challenged us. I would rather have an angry bartender than drink something I didn't want and eat something that would potentially make me ill.
Everything was excellent. We had 5 appetizers and 2 entrées and they were all delicious. Cozy atmosphere and polite staff as well.
EVERY BODY SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO THIS, IT REALLY SURPPORT MY BUSSINESS AND HELPED ME ALLOT IN MY FINANCIAL NEEDS.
