Recently visited Portland for the first time and noticed many people walking down the street one morning with bakery boxes. Realized they were coming from Belleville and was lucky to try some of the best pastries I’ve ever had in my life. I’m still dreaming about the almond croissant. Don’t think I’ll be able to top it.
Belleville is such a delight. They truly have some of the best pastries in Portland. Everything is baked to perfection and their service is kind and welcoming! I would recommend their morning buns (10/10) and their new (special) Salty Honey Latte was amazing! Get there early because they usually sell out or switch to Pizza. That’s right. PIZZA! It’s awesome! There is street parking, only, so be prepared to parallel park. It is so worth the drive to Munjoy Hill. Enjoy!
I have been to many bakeries in Europe and I can say that the croissants and especially the cardamom buns are the best I’ve had. They look amazing and taste amazing. This is one of our favorite spots in Portland. Be sure to order online the day before as they sell out quickly.
Wow this place is a gem. You could smell the pastries as you were walking up to it. The croissants were so light and flaky I died and went to heaven. Can’t wait to go back.
Cardamom bun and croissant are amazing. Had their pizza a few years ago, and remember it being great too.
World-class pastries. The cardamom bun is a must. And then order everything else. The lunchtime pizza is also some of the best in Portland.

Never had anything here that wasn’t delicious! Extremely talented pastry chef makes scrumptious treats right out of a Paris bakery window. You won’t find better, authentic, flaky croissants anywhere. A must visit for serious pastry fans! Can’t wait for the reopen!
I don't leave reviews eveeer but this mornings breakfast made me so sad. I got a chocolate & an almond croissant. There was no butter left in the pastry, it had all ran out and then flash fried the undersides leaving a layer of burnt pastry that was SO bitter and fell apart. A french man would cry. I nearly cried myself. The coffee was probably the worst tasting I've ever had. Burnt and bitter with almond milk seperated all through it. After reading the rave reviews on various Instagram accounts I was so shocked by how bad the food and coffee was. The guy at the window was very friendly, so there's that! Unfortunately will never return for the food.
Pre ordering is recommended - they run out often. Plain croissant is better than chocolate. Special danishes are excellent.
