We arrived there just before opening time. Very friendly people. Many locals come there. I had the 5.oo breakfast sandwich hubs had breakfast platter with blueberry pancakes. French toast breakfast plate also ordered. So stuffed! Leftovers taken back to the hotel. I will be buying the chili sauce! It complimented the breakfast sandwich. ?
I woke up early at the nearby Holiday Inn well in advance of my colleagues who are also attending a conference. I sought out a nearby breakfast and found Becky’s on Trip Advisor as a likely spot where locals are likely to eat to get their day started. As a pedestrian, it is a very easy and pleasant walk to Becky’s down on the wharf - maybe ten minutes at a leisurely pace. The coffee was immediately served to me at the counter and it was really hot. I had two eggs over easy, wheat toast, and home fries with onions. The order was served almost immediately, and all was great. I’m hoping to return later for the fresh Maine clams.
Great service, ma and pa kinda place which I loved. Stuffed lobster was great as well as the red pepper salmon. Great portion sizes. The side of mashed could have come with gravy without a charge but they still tasted great. I'm assuming they don't give you gravy because squash was phenomenal and you should just order 2 sides of it instead.
Came from Old Orchard Beach to try, just a quick 20 minutes down the highway. Tiny looking restaurant, but much bigger in the inside. Parking is a few spots out front and to the side, but public garages nearby. The dessert case is right when you walk in- everything looked decadent, but we didn’t have room to try after eating. Waitstaff was very friendly and able to answer all questions. Limited drink menu, beer, wine, and a couple of cocktails. Haddock chowder is a thinner base, but flavor is delicious. Clam chowder is nice and thick. Both chowders are flavored with bacon (vegetarians beware) Onion rings are thick cut, and thinly breaded. Burger was large and cooked to order. It comes plain- or with cheese. Have to ask for lettuce, tomato, onion, or condiments at no additional charge. Fried clams were sweet, whole bellies, lightly breaded and not oily. Lobster salad was huge. Lobster portion was decent, but not overwhelming. Steady delicious food- good service- decent prices. Good place for a good meal. Note- lunch menu until 4, then dinner menu.
Huge portion, lobster tasted fresh but was a bit skinny though. I enjoyed the clam chowder and mozzarella sticks.Nothing to complain about. Good location, great service and very friendly staffs. An icon when visiting Old Port, Maine.
Such a good breakfast, that we ordered dinner the next night! They allowed our dog, and it was just across the street from our hotel.
One of these cases where high ratings are misleading. Grinder steak had gummy texture and unattractice taste. Omlette and a pancake were not exciting. The good service does compensate for the food quality.
This is a decent little diner. The wait staff is prompt and friendly. We visited for breakfast and enjoyed our meal. The veggie omelette was loaded with lots of fresh vegetables. The blueberry pancake was large and didn’t scrimp on the berries. Overall a nice breakfast.
Very friendly staff, and great atmosphere.Great seafood spot with a lot of options, including our low sodium, gluten free needs. The broiled scallops and blueberry cake were our favorites.
We found this restaurant just by chance. We then learn this is the restaurant to come to for Lobster Rolls. We tried the Haddock and the lobster roll “Connecticut style”. Both were excellent!
