I found Anthony’s Italian Kitchen on Google during my first visit to Portland 6 months ago. The food was so good that my family and I ordered from them again on our next trip five months later. I had a chance to meet the owner on my first visit who was a very friendly transplant from Boston.
We googled Italian restaurants in the down town area and this one had great reviews. At first we had a hard time finding the place as we were looking for a restuarant type, not a take out. Yes, there were some tables for eating in, but we were served with take out containers, so that surprised us. However, once we tried the food, we understood why we saw so many pictures of celebreties taken with their family in the dining room. The food was amazing! We couldn't even finish it there was so much! We had leftovers the next day and enjoyed it all over.
So im sitting here right now writing this review outside the restaurant because I couldn't wait. Very laid back, order at the counter, sit down and wait for the food kind of place. Very friendly, very fresh, very HOT food! Yes I tried shoveling it in fast-so what?! Oh and order the MEATBALLS! Can I just say yum??? I'm off to take a nap now.
Amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely be traveling back to the area to visit Anthony's again. Couldn't ask for anything better
Huge portions, freshly made, very delicious food!! Placed a large lunch order for work and it showed up on time, hot and everything was correct for the order. All of us in the office have decided to make this a go to lunch place!
Came for a late lunch after exploring Portland. My husband & I both couldn't finish our sandwiches, they were HUGE. My husband got an Italian Sausage Sandwich and it came with 3 sausages inside! We also ordered 2 canollis but after the sandwiches we only had room for a few bites, which was delicious!

My fiancé and I LOVED everything that we ordered.The homemade lasagna is amazing and the Bolognese was made to perfection! Two thumbs up from us!
