Their lobster roll, yum!! BUT... my mother called and wanted a salad, nbd, right? Well they said no, you gotta "pick a pre-made salad once you get here" would it kill the order taker to just grab a garden salad and add it to the order? She didn't get her salad because I was already on my way to pick it up and the order taker never told me.
I called twice to confirm that I would get a gluten free pizza. I was told by the employee that it was gf crust. I ate two slices and started feeling sick. I called and the employee confirmed that they gave the driver the wrong pizza. She never called to warn me not to eat it or apologize. The manager on duty blamed it on Uber but it was their employee who gave the Uber driver my pizza! He just took what they handed him and now I’m going to be sick for four days.

I bobtailed to the laundrymat across the street and went here for good food.The man that took my order was very nice and the food was good. Five stars if I could sit down and eat.
The sandwich was amazing. I believe it was the double Italian. Way better than a previous experience at a different Amato's.

Third time this location can't get an order right, I called in a large sandwich with just ham, cheese, pickle and greek olive with hot relish and made a regular Italian with black olives and no hot relish... how hard is it to read a recipe and make what it says? I even specified this time it was just ham, cheese, pickle and Greek olives over the phone..
This location is one of the first Amato’s and it still makes one of the best Italian sandwiches I’ve found anywhere. My large, classic Italian was no exception. Lines were short, but longer for call-in or online orders. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices were fair. Pandemic protocols were in place. Free parking was in a large, paved lot. I liked all that I found here; I disliked nothing.
Classic Maine Italian is really good. Their other menu items are fantastic as well. These guys come from the long tradition of Maine mom and pop convenience stores with exceptional in-house sandwich (and other entree) offerings
