Breakfast buffet is disgusting! Food was almost empty, and what food the had was cold. Gravy tasted like flour, no one took out beverage order! Do not eat here!!
While checking into the hotel and bringing our stuff in there was people outside yelling at us and getting very close to our vehicle. We wanted to leave as soon as we arrived and saw our room but it was too late at night
Our room smelled like wet dog. The halls were a mixture of mold, cigarette and pot. The beds were more comfortable than I expected considering the overall sketchy state of the place. The folks working there were nice enough but every rug needs to be ripped out of that place (as a starting point.)
We were greeted by four large dead plants in the vestibule. Our room was dirty. The furniture was chipped, and pieces of caulk missing in the bathroom. Then pool deck was crumbling and the gym was not open. Dirty towels left overnight at the pool. Non-working TV remote. Someone came to replace it, took it from us, and never came back. Avoid.
The place is a bit dreary and in the middle of nowhere - forget about it if you don't drive there. The web site mentions "buffet breakfast" but it's $9 / person and looked mediocre - there is a Shaw's nearby for quick food. For the regular price this would be about what I'd expect, but it is WAY over priced at graduation time. There is coffee in the lobby, but things like sugar don't get restocked. The front desk is often empty in the morning - short staffed? Room was plenty clean but everything smelled just a bit off; you get used to it. AC worked but was loud. Room is small. There was coffee in the room, but no sugar, napkins, tea, stocked. Medium sized fridge and microwave we did not use. It's fine as a place to sleep.
This is a sham of a hotel. Rooms and toilet not cleaned before clients are checked in. Find a better place. Whoever handles housekeeping doesn’t take their work seriously. Not even complimentary water!
The staff were great 10/10\\nThe bar tinder (winter) the best one yet 20/10\\nAnd when I was there 5/6-5/7/22. I was talking to a very cute girl. And I never got her name ?
I booked two rooms at this hotel 8 months ago in order to attend my godson's graduation at nearby Bates College. His entire family are traveling with me from Idaho for this incredibly important occasion as their oldest son will be the first in the family to graduate college. The family has never seen the campus because they could not afford to travel there over the four years their son has been a student. As you can imagine, their excitement for this very significant event has been over the top! Just today, 8 months after making the reservation, and a mere two weeks before we are due to arrive, the hotel calls me to cancel the reservation because of mysterious "repairs' being made to the hotel. Ramada made no attempt to re-book us at another location, offer any type of peace keeping compensation or any consideration whatsoever for the inconvenience they've caused. Keeping in mind that graduation is over Memorial Day weekend and thousands of families will be in town for graduation and other celebrations for this major holiday, it's just inconceivable that Ramada could be this cavalier in the treatment of their guests and customers. What's worse: the hapless fellow from Ramada tasked with making the call, had the nerve to say that Ramada was calling out of "courtesy" and not waiting until we arrived at the property to break the bad news! Disingenuous at best, outrageous for sure. I will never ever book a room at a Ramada property anywhere, ever!
My room was very dirty, I cleaned. Someone else’s stuff in the fridge. Part of a joint on the floor. Pool area was in a terrible state of neglect. Restaurant staff was rude when they didn’t receive a tip for a takeout order. Speaking loudly to bar patrons that she didn’t receive a tip. I responded with “If you had delivered to my room, I would have tipped you” food was ok.
It was over priced, not enough rooms were available due to staffing issues, management should let workers get overtime to make sure they had enough rooms available. Hot tub looked like it hasn't been cleaned or water hasn't been changed in a very long time.
