They had a great selection of tap beer! Their food was amazing! The reason for the 3 stars was sub par service! We was there after lunch and the only people in the bar for the most part. Our waitress/bartender would be gone for 10+min at a time hanging out front with her friend. The manager was behind the bar almost the whole time we was there but never said a word or offered to get/help at any point we was there!
I liked it! First time here they have a huge bar and an extensive draft list. They have great happy hour food and drink specials. I enjoyed the May Burger Special. Will definitely be spending more time here in the future.
My wife and I had heard positive things about Cowbell for a while, and since they do live music on Friday nights (Saturdays too check out their calendar) we thought we'd give it a try. I'm really glad we did because the food was great.I can't speak for what other people experienced when they went and gave a negative review, but to give a rebuttal to some of the reviews I've seen on here which made me doubt going:1) Other review: People complained about the prices. OK, compare their prices against other places in the area now post-pandemic in our high inflation market. They are right on par with the competition, and frankly the food we got tonight was much better than what I'd get elsewhere in the local area it was well worth it.2) Other review: The portion sizes weren't enough. My wife and I got so much food we had to walk away with 3 take out boxes.3) Other review: My food was cold. If you've ever worked in a kitchen before or watched reality TV kitchen shows you know how this can end up happening. If the person on appetizers finishes the fries out of sync before the burger is ready you can end up with a warm burger and cold fries. If you have a super busy night and everybody is on full screech, this can happen. With all that being said, the food that we ordered was all hot, and tasted great. If you were in doubt about going, don't let the people on here make you skeptical, just try it for yourself. We got to hang out while Lindsey Montana was playing tonight and he brought a cool, relaxed vibe to the place. Also, I would recommend trying the blueberry habanero wings or tenders, super good.
Great, fastidious service. Food quality and quantity of food was great. We had the buffalo cauliflower bites, blueberry habanero chicken, and burgers. The blueberry Habanero chicken is a must try! Very unique. Love that you can choose your own type of burger ( I got bison ) and love the option of the cauliflower bites versus only chicken. The live music was also a nice touch - it wasn't too loud, it only added to the dinner.
Plenty of good beers on tap. Usually have pretty good food here. Had to send back my meal tonight as it was cold. When it came back out it was fine. For the portion of steak tips and mediocre quality of the rice I felt it was over priced. I'd go back again but will keep my food orders to pub fair type stuff where as that's where they seem to do best.
I wish the food lived up to expectations of this place. It's like a hidden gem, with a good friendly staff, great beer selections, good food specials and happy hour, lots of seats at the bar, and a cool atmosphere. The menu looks and sounds great, but the food quality both times we've gone was disappointing. The first time the burger was burnt on the outside, but raw and cold in the center, and the apps weren't great. This last time the burgers weren't great, the mac and cheese was cold, grainy, and gross. I really wanna like this place, but so far I've been disappointed.
Found this place online was was super excited to try it out. We went during a very dead time of day and could seat ourselves.I'm not sure why they tout how good their specialty burgers are - I was so underwhelmed. I ordered the jalapeno/cream cheese specialty burger. It came with one very sad tomato slice, two limp strings of onion, and the patty was cut in half to be 'stuffed' with the filling. Sadly, the cream cheese literally had about 3 bit-sized pieces of jalapenos in the whole thing. I really couldn't believe it, it was just a burger with a block of cream cheese with hardly any flavoring. The sweet potato tots were meh, you can buy the exact same frozen ones at the grocery store. My husband built his own burger with prime rib and some other things. His was actually quite good. The hand-cut fries seemed decent too.I'm really sad that this place didn't even begin the live up to what it could be. We definitely won't be back.
We stopped here shortly after they open some time back, and had a great burger, and many have said the same thing. Big, Tasty Burgers, with a ton of options
we went to cow bell in lewiston for the 1st time last week ordered 2 burgers with French fries and Buffalo boneless fingers as a appetizer. Burgers were average chicken fingers were average. The only thing that stood out in our experience was the music coming from the kitchen was so loud and our waitress was always outside smoking. A huge lack of customer service.... I do not believe we will be back nor do I believe that 2 hamburgers and French fries, chicken fingers and 2 sodas should cost $60.
I ate here for the first time Sunday for lunch. They had a good selection of beer on tap and a menu that had me struggling to choose between the various burgers, several of which looked great! I decided on the Brisket-nator, which was amazing! And I haven't even mentioned the fries, which are the best fries I've had. I will be eating here again.
