I usually really love Portland Pie. But this time is an exception. I got the steak and Bleu salad. No joke 6 lil pieces o steak. I didn't receive any Bleu cheese dressing and no croutons that I had to pay extra for. Got charged for them, but never received them. Paid almost 20$ for it.
$27 for a pizza with a tip. I went in there stoned and had to force myself to eat 3 slices. I told them they could keep the remaining slices. The server was displeased with the $4-$5 tip I gave him. ? Don't worry, special people there.
Great pizza and good gluten-free crust options
My wife and I stopped in the other evening for some pizza and drinks. We were not disappointed! Inside you'll find ample seating. It's a mix of wooden tables and chairs with a few benches. The decor is a mix of modern and industrial. The staff is incredibly friendly and the service is great! The cocktails are top-notch and I appreciated the local beers on tap!The pizza is also great. Portland Pie has a great variety of specialty pizzas as well as the option to build your own. Major respect to them for offering vegan cheese as an option and clearly labeling the vegan and gluten-free items on the menu! Small details like that make all the difference. I went with the Merrimack Pie (basically a Margherita pizza with marinara sauce). My wife built her own pizza with wheat dough, vegan cheese, beyond burger, and carmelized onions. Both pies were excellent. My Margherita pie had a thicker, fluffier crust with a rich sauce and perfectly melted cheese. The basil added good flavor to the pie. My wife's vegan cheese pizza was also excellent! The cheese was very gooey (typical for vegan cheese) but was packed with flavor!! We will definitely be ordering from here more. Bonus tip: get the app and set up a rewards account if you know you'll be ordering pickup.
Amazing Food, Amazing Service.Had a great experience from the moment we entered the building. Extremely helpful staff. We ordered the Apple Salad, Cheese Bread, Buffalo Pizza, and Fresh Mozzarella Pepperoni Pizza. All of which were amazing!! Especially the Buffalo Pizza!
Thank you Portland Pie for making amazing take home pizza dough!! My family and I love it!! We take one dough, cut it in half and make 2 pizzas out of it, then add different toppings, and cook it on the grill on high heat.Turns out like brick oven pizza!! So yummy
Visited Bangor and actually took our time picking a pizza place that would be memorable, unfortunately it was memorable in a terrible way. We ordered the Cape Neddick and were unpleasantly surprised to find plastic in every bite. By the time we had gotten back to our place to eat it, they were already closed and we were flying home the next morning, so we could never get a refund or coupon or new pizza or anything of that sort. There was no basil on it at all, so they seemed to think we’d prefer plastic to that. Really didn’t want to write a review but after messaging them about the problem, we never heard anything from them. So yes, they do not properly make their pizzas, but the lack of customer service is, in the end, the main issue. Please unwrap the pepperoni before cutting it and placing it on pizzas and please hire someone to respond to customers. Your pizza costs way too much to ignore these issues.
Ordered delivery while travelling. Absolutely amazing food, good prices, fast delivery time, and friendly delivery person. If I lived in Bangor I’d eat here every week. Their website is also simple and super easy to order from. 10/10 highly recommend!
Wow! What a lovely dinner! Such a cute little place in a cute little town. They have the most lovely staff, and the pizza is easily the best crust I have ever had. So much cheese! Not to mention vegan options. 12/10 (I had a vegan cheese with Beyond sausage pizza).
We ordered a pizza here and some wine - the wine was ok but the pizza is a done just right and the atmosphere was perfect. Staff was friendly.
