The location is a bit odd and you wouldn’t expect much, but upon entering you are greeted by a authentic styling. The chairs are Japanese zaisu chairs and there’s even private seating where you can close the door and have a private meal. Great for going out and eating dinner with a group of friends for a drink and some food. The sushi was good and had a great price with the combo options. The boba was amazing and had a great flavor. While there’s many drink options for the adults too! The fried banana was okay, I’d suggest trying something different on the desert menu.
Long wait for drinks, long wait for appetizers, long wait for food, long wait for check. Old onion on a plate. No apology offered. Sushi was good and other food was okay.I had been here years ago and had a much better experience. Perhaps they're having staffing issues. Hopefully they work it out.
This is a must Dine-In restaurant. The ambiance is incredible. Loved the personal little dining room. We all ordered the dinner combos with entree, rice, and egg roll, and it was beautifully presented. Highly recommend.
The food was excellent. The service was terrible. We got our food and didn’t see our server for a solid 45 minutes when she returned with our warm iced tea and soda. No ice in either drink. She just dropped them on the table and walked away, we were clearly done eating. We had to go find our ticket up front so we could pay to leave. Maybe to go might be a better option…
Great learning experience working at Green Tea. It can be tough at times to satisfy the owners at times because they are perfectionist. These owners really cares about their image, service and their food. The servers is expect to know their menu. Don't be afraid to ask for suggestions if you don't want to think. A-ONE!
Great atmosphere, quiet and the food was very good. The service was great, too. If you're a sushi lover, the menu is varied and it's all good. The booths are wonderful and give you a lot more privacy. It was a nice evening out that started here.
Let me start by saying Green Tea used to be my favorite restaurant in Maine, our family of 5 frequently came up and spent $200 or more on meals, apps and sushi. We visited today for lunch and had the most terrible meal and service pretty much ever. We arrived at around 2pm, were seated And the restaurant was almost empty. Took 20 minutes for the server to come and get our drink and appetizer order, when the drinks arrived another 20 or so minutes later we discovered the Sierra Mist mix was empty and notified the waitress which totally isn’t her fault it happens sometimes, she said she would bring us new drinks after it was fixed. Another 20 minutes later she arrived with our meals and appetizers at the same time and brought us all Pepsi instead and told us the restaurant was out of Sierra Mist. She didn’t ask what we wanted to drink instead, she just decided for us. We told her non of us drinks Pepsi and she just said sorry and walked away. I then called her back and showed her the meal she brought me wasn’t what I ordered, she said sorry she thought I wanted that, then looked at me confused and walked away. I thought she was going to put in the correct order, but no, she didn’t come back until everyone else finished eating. I didn’t touch the food she brought me, the plate was still full when she brought the check but she acted surprised that I wasn’t going to pay for or take home a meal I didn’t order. I asked if there was a manager available an at first she said yes and just stood there, so I asked to speak to the manager she then replied without even going to check, sorry manager is on break now. The food my family did receive was either close to burnt or literally cold, the pork fried rice was both cold and burned to the point where the peas were crunchy, how does that even happen how can it be cold, burnt and dried out at the same time. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant since moving to Maine.Sent from my iPhone
Slow service. Took 2.5 hours and all we managed to get was apps and sushi. We had ordered an entree as well and ended up asking for it to go along with the check because we had waited so long. We waited 20 mins to be acknowledged by our server and another 20 for drinks. It was another half hour before we saw the appetizers. Sushi came up fast at this point but we never saw our server again to check on us. No water refills. Had to flag her down to ask for the entree to go and the check. She never came back to the table to take the payment. We had to flag down another server at which point our server appeared and was annoyed we had asked another server to cash us out. Overall poor experience. The food was all great but I will never be dining in again. Oh and this all took place after 7pm…we didn’t leave until after 9 and never got served our entree. The food was good but not worth the experience. I have done take out before but this was our first dine in experience and im so disappointed. I’ll stick to take out cause the food is good but the service is inexcusable.
We ordered the Iron Man and Lovely Roll along with some other goodies and it was soooo delicious. Prices are great! Love the atmosphere and everything about this restaurant. Don’t understand why they would have a rating of less than 5/5. Keep up the good work and great food!! Yummylicious!!!
This time we did take out as we were staying at the hotel and the Airport and wanted to bring in .The food was amazing . The seaweed salad so fresh . All the rolls were so delicious . We absolutely said we will come back as it’s only 30 minutes from our house .Yea to great Asian cuisine in Bangor .
