10 minutes ago Sat at the bar and We came for dinner. Cocktails were great. I ordered the prime rib, fiancé ordered the chicken parm. Chicken parm tasted amazing! The sides I got for the prime rib were broccoli and Gouda mac n cheese that were so good!!! The prime rib was literally gray when received, even though I ordered it rare. I ate one bite and had to send it back. We sent it back and said we never complain about food but it just wasn’t prime rib. Didn’t even finish the sides. We just said that was not good, almost a full dish was sent back (12 oz prime rib) They never brought back anything or said anything more. Charged us for the prime rib and never even mentioned us complaining. I paid the full bill and still tipped over 20%. The bartender didn’t even know how to handle the situation nor cared. Won’t be back .
This was my first time visiting! My husband has been raving about this place. Given I am a huge foody and fresh , simple yet delicious food is important to me. It did not disappoint! We will definitely be back!! Huge plus our waitress was absolutely phenomenal!! Thank you for providing the utmost , fresh , delicious meal I've had when eating out!!
I went on a Friday, and the server was kurt. I ordered the Ribeye medium rare. The first time i sent it back they brought me a piece of tenderloin. I sent that back they brought me a raw ribeye with cold sides.(no manager ever showed up) i sent that back again i got the same steak undercooked with the same sides. I had to go home hungry. I have never in my life smh…..
The restaurant is warm and inviting but it takes more than atmosphere to make a complete experience. Our drinks were very standard. They serve Pepsi instead of coke like a low end restaurant. Who ever ordered a rum and Pepsi? So we went for their specialty drinks which tasted very typical and nothing exotic for the price. Tried the lemon halibut which was overcook and bland. How does one make lemon sauce tasteless? The Risotto was supposed to be asparagus and artichoke - it was all red bell pepper which ruined the whole side. Then plain green beans with no seasoning. To begin we had the "spring rolls" which were really more like egg rolls since the wrapper was very thick and very deep fried. Not light and flaky the way it should be. The "buffalo chicken" insert was mushy and not appealing. Overall we probably would not return unless we saw a "special" that sounded too hard to make bland. Service was ok.
If you really enjoy vegetables, this place is for you. I have eaten here twice, once I got a seasonal risotto and once I got a scallop scampi. In both dishes the primary flavor was vegetable; in the risotto that was very nice, in the scampi it left something to be desired. Everything is cooked very nicely and served beautifully.
Can't say enough great things about Evenroods! Friendly & personable staff, drinks and food are to die for, and the gorgeous setting of being in an old bank! What more could you ask for?? (perfect for date night!!)
