Decent sandwiches, Good prices with fast snd friendly service.
Just a great burger every time! Since moving north, I haven't been back since 2003. Food was just the way remembered...delicious.
An amazing burger. Simple but delicious. I have been eating here for quite some time and love all of their food. I have friends who travel from Portland to get a burger here.
Biggest breakfast subs anywhere. Most amazing French toast around. Love stopping by and grabbing loaded hamburger or the steak and cheese sub...mmmmm. one of the pitfalls with working from home is not being right down the road anymore :(
When I see the words "steak burger" I tend to get excited. This burger was in good uniform and was very presentable. Although it was small it was filling and juicy. This however, is where the compliments end. The burger itself left much to be desired. I can barely tell if the burger was seasoned, speedburger didn't seem to have any Pizzazz or kick to it oh, it just existed. For $12 I would expect a bit more or what that was and that doesn't mean that the quantity is off, it's just that it's pretty bland. It's still better than that Elevation Burger that is so popular here in Maine for some reason. If they really wanted to beef up the competition oh, I recommend they take a trip to Wisconsin and visit a Culver's or possibly visit a Shake Shack in New York.
The atmosphere here reminds me of 80s movies, where the owners hate kids and are all business. But they take your order, take your money and hand you food. All I had was a dbl cheese burger, and it was great, old fashioned, nothing special, but fantastic.
The staff was pleasant, the food you can tell they put effort into. Sadly on my first visit my exceptional steak n cheese was served with hair ??, without hesitation and all humility they offered a refund for that sub.
Always great! Priced right, service is friendly, place is very clean. Love me some salt and vinegar fries from roys!!!!! Lobster sub has soooo much meat in it. Highly recommend!!
Being new in town I accidentally mistook this place for Roy's market, upon entering I quickly realized it wasn't the place I thought it was. With that said I was warmly greeted with an interior that was clean and spacious. The employees were dressed appropriately and immediately I was greeted by them. I was impressed by how well organized they seemed behind the counter and how polite they were to the customers. there was a blonde woman behind the counter who I very quickly realized must be the owner. It was very apparent that she had things under control and at any moment would have been there for any of her employees to assist in whatever issue that may arise. Learning quickly that they were famous for their burgers I ordered a plain cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion and extra mayonnaise to go. I think I paid just over $3 which I found appropriate. I appreciate it the container of the burger came in as it was easier to maintain a mess on the go the burger was soft and tasteful and had just the right amount of cheese. The only issue I had with the burger was that they put a napkin under the burger inside the box which stuck to the bottom of the burger and was difficult take off. I'm sure they do this so that the grease does not leak out of the box. A thicker tissue such as a paper towel may not have stuck as much as the napkin used was clearly tableware and very thin. I most definitely would return.
This place is a clear case of "Everyone else says they love it. I must too!"But you don't. Their food is awful, thrown together without a care, dry and tasteless. There are better hotdogs from a cart. Salad? it looks like they use the lettuce rinds for burgers in your salad. Fries? Soggy, underdone, cold.Don't forget the "Cash Only" scam with "ATM Inside." Perhaps they think this helps them get extra tips, since you have to pay with large bills, but it is frustrating to go out to eat in 2021 and have to pay to access your own cash. The food you ultimately receive adds insult to injury. Will never return.
