The food was delicious and the service impeccable.
we waited over 1 hour for appetizers and drinks and almost 2 hours for our entrees. Then when we finally got out food mine was not right. The waitress blamed the cooks and bartenders. The bartender blamed it on new staff. The manager/bartender was rude and defensive......I will never be back.
Great space. Professional friendly staff. Delicious food.
I’ve always been a fan of their beer but the food didn’t impress me this last time. My husband got a burrito with no flavor except the ridiculous amount of habanero sauce. I got the chicken tenders that were huge and SO greasy. The batter would just fall off too. The honey mustard sauce was mediocre at best. I’m pretty sure it was just Kens… we’ll go back for drinks and live music but the food not so much, or maybe just get fries
Our waitress was great but service was over an hour to get our meal of which 1/2 my meal was missing. We order the lemon cake with raspberry bourbon sauce to go and as we were leaving, I opened up the dessert because it felt empty. We spent 7.00 on a dessert that was hardly a bite and a half. If I could add a picture of it, I would. Food was ok.
Walked in and sat down next to the Ray the Brew Master and walked me through the beers and amazing history. Will Def be back If the wind brings me back through Auburn ME...Beer is on point
I don't get the hype here. I've been 3-4 times total. The beer is sub-par, especially in the golden age of craft beers. Last night my brother had a porter that was medicinal and couldn't finish it.I had a just okay IPA. but for my main course I ordered one of the specials which was a French Dip and Swiss with au jus. Usually they're made with roast beef but they used unseasoned, bland steak. Au jus is typically rich and salty, but theirs was basically hot, brown water.I always leave there befuddled as to why people love it.
Good food, reasonable prices for the portion sizes. I paid less than $20 with tip for a soda and a pizza for two. Only thing I have to mention. We had a couple of people who called ahead requesting seating for a large party. They definitely had the room for us, but the staff didn't seem too impressed when we showed up with the entire youth hockey team and their parents. Maybe a few days notice would have been helpful further to get the place staffed.
Always a great experience, tonight I had the Pesto Pasta with Blackened Chicken, side salad and a glass of red wine. It was excellent and incredibly satisfying.
I pretty rarely give low reviews, but I needed to give one in this case. We'd never eaten at Gritty's before but had heard of others enjoying it so we thought we'd give it a try since there aren't a lot of build your own burger places in Lewiston Auburn.First of all, the burger patties are premade frozen ones. The burger that I got, the center of the burger was uncooked and cold. The tomato slices were close to 1/4 tomato cuts?? Our fries were soggy and limp.We ordered buffalo wings and got sweet chili wings instead. The price we paid did not justify frozen patties. The only reason I didn't give it a one star is because the online ordering worked, and the food was ready when I arrived, but if not for that it would be a 1 star.
