My family and I went tonight for my daughter’s birthday. While there someone else had a birthday and the workers sang their traditional birthday song and put the sombrero on the one who’s birthday it was. We ordered street tacos and were brought regular tacos- When I asked the waiter about it he said it was street tacos and I told him that street tacos don’t normally come on flour tortillas and do not come with lettuce and such. He argued and said they made changes but wasn’t sure why they put them on flour tortillas. I waved another waiter down thinking maybe he wasn’t understanding what I was asking and that waiter legit told me that he couldn’t help me. Then my husband waved that same waiter down and simply asked him for a menu and he never even brought it to him!! My husband then asked our waiter the price difference between the street tacos and regular tacos. He said 3 street tacos with the side of beans and rice was $14 and 3 regular tacos would be $12. Out ticket read $24 for a total of 6 tacos- He answered my original question outright that I asked in the beginning when I asked if they were street tacos. He lied and told me they were knowing they were not! Then to top it off we told him it was my daughters birthday and we asked for the churros for her dessert- when he brought them out to her he said they were too short staffed to sing her the happy birthday song ? ABSOLUTELY CRAZY WHEN THEY WETE SINGING IT TO ANOTHER TABLE WHEN WE WALKED IN!!! I’m not one to complain about a restaurant because I use to work in one many years ago but this was an absolute disappointment!!!! We will not go back to El Sombrero in West Monroe!!!!!
went on a date here and the food was very good.
food was great service was awesome..
Decent place for Mexican food while travelling. It was close to our hotel and our server was outstanding, her name was Magdelena. The servings are large for those with a big appetite.I recommend the steak street tacos! The steak was flavorful and tender!
To say the least….. IT WAS TERRIBLE. After we ate here we felt sick. The only good thing was the margaritas that was it. It was the worst Mexican restaurant we’ve ate at, even their American food was bad. Their burger was like a ball park burger but TEN TIMES WORSE. The meat was bad the cheese was bad the whole thing was bad. If you like rally hard corn flavored chips these are for you. The cheese on the nachos was the same as the cheese dip.The service wasn’t even good the sprite was flat as well. We ate yesterday and we’re STILL SICK FROM IT. Take our word from it and eat at any other of the 500 Mexican restaurants in the area! ( Also one person likes bad food in our group, so he said the sweet tea was good so was the chips * They weren’t*)
3 stars, only because we weren't greeted upon arrival & an employee was looking right at us!!!! I don't care how busy your establishment is, when you have customers entering & you see them, you can at least say, "Sorry for the wait, someone will be with you shortly" that alone would've made my guest & I felt welcomed!!!! Overall the drinks & food were good.
Very nice experience tonight at this restaurant. Service was fantastic. Our server Trey was courteous and efficient. The food was delicious. We had been traveling for over 10 hours from South Carolina since very early this morning and this dinner was great and relaxing. Just what we needed. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Always great food at an amazing price. The staff is always super friendly. Love this place.
It was a little pricey and the dessert wasn't prepared correctly and didn't get everything that goes with it. But still got charged for it.The food was okay but definitely had better.
Phenomenal food and lightning fast service. Very attractive lighting inside and out of the building and every staff member were polite and patient.
