My waitress was kind. I ordered spicy salmon and tuna rolls and got the equivalent of Sheba cat food, it was pate fish of some sort. The wasabi that I received was old and crusty on the edges as if it had been left on a buffet table. I also ordered the kids shrimp hibachi for my daughter in which she loves but she found it to be flat out disgusting. My daughter did not eat one shrimp so when I asked the waitress to take it back and off my food she said that they would not. Cool, but not a thing that I am accustomed to when it comes to any restaurant and not eating anything on a plate. I shared my thoughts with the hostess expecting a manager to come by but to no avail. We paid then left. I left hungry and very disappointed. In closing, if you are a real sushi lover this is not the place for you.

I've been a Thibodaux resident since 2007 and have been going to Geaux Fish since then. We always loved the food and the service. But for the past year or so we’ve seen a steady decline in the establishment. We went last night (Tuesday) and asked if we can sit at the hibachi bar. But we were told we couldn't because we need a total of 5 to sit there. That was fine so we sat at a regular table. No big deal. So, we ordered hibachi from a regular table . The food was barely warm. It lacked taste. it was a disappointing experience to say the least with the hibachi food. The rolls we order was good. The one thing I noticed is they have a bunch of real young adults working there without an older person acting as a supervisor and it showed. I waiting staff was loud, dropping plates into the ben on the cart, screaming another one’s name across the restaurant. I saw 2 waitresses snapchat on their phones. I'm not being a "Karen" as they call it. I just see a steady decline in this place and it's a shame because it's the only Shushi restaurant in the area. They need someone with experience to work the floor and supervise the young ones. They also need to improve the hibachi cook.. Sorry to say but I'll be making the extra drive to Houma to get my Sushi.

One of the most disrespectful places I have ever ate at . The server got the roll wrong. We returned it. Management said they would not take the roll and they refused to take it off the bill even though we returned it and had not touched it. Had to be persistent so they would take it off. Not the servers fault he was great but management was very poor. Even used the server as the middle man to send there message to us.

Had bland rice and noodles, steak was cold. Nice wait staff. 1 large palmetto roach at the table. Not good.

Amazing! I got the sushi and shashimi combo deluxe and the Tuna Fantastic roll! Quick service, polite staff. High quality fish.

Horrible customer service. Server had an attitude. We waited FIFTEEN minutes for our server to even take our drink order. She tried to charge us for a roll she didn’t leave at our table. Service was all around the worst I’m assuming bc their gratuity is included they don’t care.

Really liked our food ? however the host were giving the servers way to many tables making the service itself slow and our server over worked and they did not try helping them

They seated us within a few minutes which was great. However, we waited a prolonged period of time before someone even took our drink/food order. It took even longer to actually get the drinks & even longer before the appetizers arrived. We had get up & go ask for utensils & napkins ourselves, because none were brought to our table...& we weren’t being checked on often. My biggest issue is that we spent almost $200, & all the hibachi food (minus the rice) was cold...even my lobster. As our entrees were being placed on the table, we were told that they ran out of soup & salad. However, when we got the bill, we were still charged the full price. This is the 1st time I’ve ever had to ask for a manager. After speaking with her a few times, she mentioned that it would be fair to take 10% off the bill which was fine with us. But when she brought the bill back, she only deducted $10 off for the 4 soups & 4 salads, even that would have clearly cost more than a total of $10. Not satisfied with Geaux Fish whatsoever. By the time we left, we had been there for almost 2 hours. Major thumbs down.

Ordered the lobster rolls tonight it was ok but the fact that they put fried shrimp unstead of the fried lobster tempura inside and was never told nothing I definitely can tell the difference between shrimp and lobster very disappointed ?
