Tanya and the staff were great. Despite a full house, I was attended to within seconds of sitting down, and revived my food within minutes.

Today I was very disappointed with my visit. I was not expecting a fine dinning experience at Waffle House. However, I did expect Our Waitress Samyra to acknowledge us, speak to us and to be friendly. Which we did not experience. Not even a smile. She was in my option rude. We did not expect to be treated as though we were a bother. When we would ask for something or a question she would just walk off... Sometimes nod. No eye contact - Just Nod. After all, If 3 people at the table order Coffee wouldn't you ask if anyone wants Sweetener, Creamer, oh and don't expect Refills? Wouldn't we expect our Waffles to be full cooked and Syrup for our Waffles? Wouldn't we expect Butter for our grits? After all this is part of your job as a waitress to bring these things to the table with the food. When we would say thank you she would say nothing. Just roll her eyes, put her nose to the air and walk off. I don't expect Red Carpet treatment but i do expect you to be grateful enough to realize that out of all the restaurants to spend our hard earned money and all the tables we chose to leave our tip, it was yours.

I was looking for a nice (as in fancy) breakfast after a planned tough early morning. Knowing I like waffles, Waffle House was suggested. I still looked at breakfast places in Slidell but started thinking more about WH. Then I saw the nearest WH didn't have a very high rating. But this one did, and I agree! Heather, the waitress, was friendly and service was quick. The food was great! Not fancy, but just what I really was looking for. The place was cleaner than most Waffle Houses I've been to, possibly due to it's location. It's tucked away a little bit and next to some nicer neighborhoods; not on the side of a busy highway running through a business district. If your either headed east from New Orleans or headed to it from the east, stop in! It's just on the other side of the I-10 "Twin Span" bridges across Lake Pontchartrain from the "Big Easy".
