This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant .However I will never go there again. Two months ago I was there and they got one our orders wrong (we understand mistakes happen). Today we waited almost an hour and watched another table get served that came in after us. Only one entree came out and it was not warm. I continued to wait another ten minutes for my entree. After my wife finished her meal, I canceled mine and paid the bill. This was my wife's birthday needless to say how displeased we were.
No one was in the front. We stood there for a minute. As I started to walk up I saw the young lady sitting at the bar texting in her phone and at the same time my husband was knocking on the counter for service. She did see me and got up and seated us. I'm always on a crutch because my knees are bad and I have problems standing for long periods. Other than that the food was ? and it came out quick.
1 p.m on a Thursday... decided to stop for lunch. Waited in the lobby to be greeted by a host close to 15 minutes before deciding to leave. Not a single employee in sight.
Salsa is bland, chips had no salt, the peppers with my fajitas were sliced so thin and there were barely any. Save your money.
Definitely not what I was hoping for. Ordered a chicken enchilada and cheese nachos, both of which were cold by the time they were delivered to my hotel (which is less than 1.3 miles away). Way too expensive for what you actually get. My enchilada was smaller than the palm of my hand, and tasteless. Barely had any sauce on it at all. Chips tasted stale too.
Best Mexican cuisine in Slidell (it’s a chain with 13 other restaurants throughout LA) period. Service staff is courteous, expeditious and professional. The food has always been good here. Service has been great too. But seeing this amount of mold in the menu is a massive turn off.
We eat here often and always have a wonderful experience. Food comes out hot and perfect. Staff are wonderful!
