Absolute worst experience at any chili’s ever. Was told that there would be a 25 minute wait when very few tables were being used. Waitress barely came to the table. We didn’t get silverware until after our food arrived because they weren’t washed. We had to chase her down just to get to go plates and the bill. Will not be coming back to this location. This was not a staffing issue. There was maybe 4-5 tables filled up.
It was a late lunch for us 245pm myself and hubby also our grandchild. You could tell it was understaffed and they were scammbling to seat us. We ordered a kids Mac n cheese and fries, I got salad and soup and appetizer. Hubby ordered a steak med rare with potatos and broccoli. 45 min later while others are served their appetizers and soups. Myself and grandchildren still waiting and for what a steak dinner that was cooked very well my hubby got upset as did I because trying to keep a 3yr old busy for 45 minutes is alot and their food and the should have came out 1st and they re cooked steak it was bloody awesome had to take it home to eat. Not manage came apologized so did the waitress but we won't be back for awhile
We've eaten at Chili's locations all over the country, but we made a mistake choosing to eat at this location Service was very slow, even though they had just opened and the place was less than a quarter filled. Fried pickles were okay, but not all were cooked/hot all the way through. Burger (Santa Fe) was tasty and cooked properly, but the wife got the Smokehouse combo. Street corn on the cob was inedible, the chicken was tasteless and rubbery, and the brisket fajitas were lukewarm. Calling them "brisket fajitas" is generous, as there was scant brisket to be found in the overly-sweet sauce that they use. Server was not able to handle her duties in a timely manner. and the bathroom (ladies' bathroom) was filthy. As we were walking out, we noticed that there was trash all over the front landscaping. Corporate would do well to review this particular location to see how to bring it back to the standard we know Chili's strives for.
We intended to eat here last night. My husband, 2 small children, and myself. Upon entering the restaurant it was obvious they were only seating one side of the building; the bar side. There were people sitting in the waiting area, and the bar side was full. When telling the hostess we had a party of 4 with 2 kids, she let us know that we would not be accommodated. My response “so we can’t eat at Chilis tonight?” “Not tonight, we can’t accommodate the high chairs”. So because the bar is high tops and booths, they were only accommodating parties of 4 or less, and no children in high chairs or strollers, and no wheelchairs. I was stunned. I understand being short staffed, as well as opening only have the restaurant, but to open the bar side, for only parties of <4, with no high chairs, strollers, or wheelchairs, seems like a poor management choice. Family of 5, can’t eat here. Need a high chair, can’t eat here. Disabled, can’t eat here. Guess we won’t be returning. Good luck to Slidell Chilis. I can’t imagine how this business will make it turning away customers who need accommodations. (PS- we brought our own high chairs, so not having one available wouldn’t have been an issue.)
Worse service ever. Really knows how to ruin a 65th birthday. Waited awhile before drink order taken. Waitress came out and said appetizer ready in 2 to 3 minutes. 15 minutes later comes over and says wasn't cooked so had to redrop. I said it was "ridiculous". Waitress got attitude argued and I asked her to leave the table as I wasn't arguing. She said "I'll get the manager" I didn't even ask. Manger came told us that it wasn't because appetizer had to be redone but backed up with TO GO orders. Finally got appetizer and I mentioned to the manager that I asked the waitress to leave to table to stop the argument and she wouldn't leave. Finally got our food and it was cold. I ate the garlic bread because we had to wait on it so it was hot. No it was not even busy when we were there in this section. She had a total of 5 tables the whole time we were there. 1 had their food and drinks. One drinks and ordered food and other 2 after the 3 of us came in. Plus she had 2 runners. So I would think that people actually sitting in restaurant would come before TO GO orders. I know just because I will never go there again will not harm their business but sad part is I actually live in Slidell. The person that bought my BIRTHDAY dinner does not. Then again she wasn't impressed either.
Hamburgers were not and delicious!!! Service was good.
Absolutely LOVE Chili's! Eating in is good but we love the delivery and pickup service! LOVE the specials they always offer and the staff are top notch! Portion sizes are nice and I love using their app for their FREE Chili's chips & salsa! Their chips are THE BEST!
Disappointing experience. Fajitas were not cooked properly and served cold. Beans were cold too. Tortillas were barely lukewarm. Server was nice and got it corrected, but this was not good. Person who appeared to be a manager was small talking the waitstaff but obviously not doing much else. Won’t be going back to this one.
Whimsical service and very expedient, I can assure you that it is a worthwhile place to visit, especially after a long week with work. The food was delicious and kept me full and it should be noted that more people should go there to dine.
Our server was friendly. That was the only good thing to say. Restaurant was filthy. Dirty tables everywhere, bathroom was gross. On the way back from the bathroom, I glanced into the kitchen. I was appalled.Food was cold, didn't taste good.
