This place is a RARE. I’ve traveled our country pretty well, and it’s hard to find something that fulfills my tummy and palette. I had the Deep Fried Gold and it was to die for??. The sweet potato fries are ?? and I also loved the mash potatoes and gravy. They are consistent because I tried it more than once. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed ?
My wife and I had just arrived, in Slidell, after a long drive. We were looking for a quick, casual place, and found Bonnie C's. Doesn't look like much from the outside, doesn't look like much, on the inside. Turns out, that this is one of those Hole-in-the-wall/Mom & Pop restaurants, that is a gem. Starting off, our server - Kayla - was excellent. Very warm and friendly and took care of our every need, often without asking. The food was great. HUGE portions and not expensive. We ordered the Crawfish Pies appetizer. My wife ordered the Red Beans & Meat entrée, with a side of greens, and I ordered the Seafood Platter. The food quality was as good as many places we have dined, in the French Quarter. Our portions were so large, we had to get to-go boxes. A good problem to have. I want to also add that the Seafood Platter, while fried, had a light breading that did not overpower the taste of the seafood, nor was it greasy. We highly recommend Bonnie C's.
This is the only place I go to for my liver and onions. If that is not your cup of tea, they have daily specials and I hear the all you can eat catfish is delicious.
The service was outstanding. The food was great home cooking style with lots of sides to choose from. Local cuisine plus the "fall back sandwiches

Stopped in for lunch with a few friends. We were all very pleased with our food. We went in at very busy time so service was a bit slow but we enjoyed visiting while waiting for our order. Food was served hot, fresh and delicious .
Kaity was awesome spoke to me soon as I came through door . Kept a smile while she helped me out . Made sure I had everything I needed. Very nice woman. With employees like her and the taste of there food I would recommend coming here.
The food was great and I have to say that the service there was the best by far of any cafe or restaurant I have ever been. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
The crawfish pie is incredible! If you want some home cooked real Louisiana food this is the place!
I had the Deep Southern Fried Gold.....awesome plus soooo much food I couldn't eat it all. My third time here and it hasn't disappointed me. The staff are so very friendly and very attentive!
