We travel 45 minutes JUST to get the pizza here - Large chicken Alfredo, add spinach. It tastes like a real NY style pizza - ask for light cheese if you want it more authentic NY.I like the ahi tuna appetizer best. The have a good wine & alcohol selection - house wine is $4 per glass. The sauces are homemade, authentic, thin, not over-sweet. The Alfredo is the thickest one if you don't like thin sauce. The veal dishes are superb, but not my thing. My least favorite dish is the tilapia piccata - the sauce is too bland and thin to my liking.People complain about the bread being dry, but I think it's good dipped in butter, olive oil, & balsamic vinegar.
This was my last visit to Roma's. Charging for a second serving of bread when the entree arrives and the first serving wasn't worth having. Recipes seemed to have changed, not for the good. The waitress made us very uncomfortable with her frequent awkward behavior....maybe she was new.. When we brought to their attention that one of the shrimp in the dish was bad it was brushed off that it was probably just from the grill without an offer to get another. The experience was extremely unpleasant
very good groceries will definitely be back
Excellent service, and the food was excellent. Reasonably priced as well
This was our first time back to this particular Roma's since Covid. A little disappointed. We were immediately recognized by a waitress that was trying to get out pick up orders. We were told we could sit anywhere we liked. We sat ourselves. The waitress brought us menus and the small bread loaves they bring out when you're first seated. They were hard. They tasted old. They had a slight, but noticeable rank taste. If you know how old cooking oil tastes, that was the taste it had. (At the neighboring table, one of the gentlemen poked their bread. I heard him say theirs was "hard as a brick." He asked the waitress to bring them some soft bread. She told him, "I will try". When we left, she had never brought them new fresh bread.) My party and I ordered a Giant Chicken Alfredo Pizza with added Canadian Bacon to split. While it was delicious, it didn't have much chicken for a CHICKEN Alfredo pizza, nor did it have much Canadian Bacon for paying extra for it. There were a couple of slices that didn't have but a couple of small pieces of chicken on it.Now for the rest of the restaurant itself:I hated to see what used to be a very nice restaurant looking a bit disheveled. The walls are painted a charcoal color. There were VERY noticeable places on the walls where the paint and sheet rock has been chipped. (white is pretty noticeable on charcoal!) There was one place a small container of spackle from The Dollar Tree would be plenty to patch. The paint needs to be touched up. Numerous bulbs in their multiple bulb lighting fixtures need to be replaced. The clear panel at the top of the wall that divides the main dining room from what I believe to be a meeting or party room was noticeably dusty dirty. The ladies room had a foul odor. Some boiling water and vinegar poured down the floor drain periodically would probably help immensely. It could also use an air freshener. The handicapped stall could use some attention. The toilet paper holder was broken. The bottom of the door, the formica on the bottom has come unglued and is hanging. Other than that, it appeared clean.
I'm from NJ and omg I finally found pizza. Food coma!!!! It was just like home. Had it delivered so can't wait to try right out of the oven. And the vodka sauce oh my Lord spot on. This will be my go to spot forever and ever and ever as long as I'm down here. OMG Heaven slices of heaven
When they first opened the food was tasty and portions were appropriate for the price. Staff friendly and welcoming. However, seems the last few times we’ve been there, over the last year or so, food portions have dwindled to more than half original size, Prices have not. Plus some of the servers act like their mad about being there? Sorry not near as good as it used to be
Low on Staff which had the (only?) waitress running. The owner/manager (not sure) walking around doing nothing. Waited 15-20 minutes for a refill. So ... I got up to attempt to get it myself. No success as I was apparently invisible. Went to go sit back down... after someone from the back/ kitchen area got himself a drink. So, I gave up.Waitress: Never came back to my table, never checked for a refill. But then, no one else did either. Not even the manager/owner.Food was good. But good food can't help no- service.
A good Italian restaurant. The service is friendly and makes you feel welcome. The food is + average, the prices are average.Good deal, we'll be back.
Olive Garden has nothing on the flavor and quality of the food at Roma Italian Bistro! Excellent service and nice atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!
