We are from Texas. We pass by this beautiful place. Where the food, its people and the decoration are incredible. thanks for your service.
What a great Italian staple in Shreveport, La. Known for their sweet red sauce. Make sure to have the shrimp toast. The lasagna and twice baked dishes are a good choice. Try a muffaletta at lunch. Enjoy!
Oh my goodness! Awesome food. Super waiter. Will be back. And, no, did not eat this much food at one meal. Had the best leftovers for two more meals (that was the plan).
I placed an order under "Elise" for obvious reasons, and I rarely if ever post negative reviews (again, obvious reasons). The order was large - seven of one item, four drinks, and my salad (Italian shrimp). While picking it up, I asked specifically if the salad was Italian shrimp and not their shrimp pasta salad. I was told it was what I ordered. Once back at work, everything was correct except for the salad. It was the shrimp pasta, which I can't have due to a gluten intolerance. I called and was told to bring the wrong salad back for the correct one. In the middle of my work day, that's not possible. I had tipped 20% and it's just frustrating. Other restaurants in the area have done the same. I think Covid has negatively impacted competency ??♀️
Perfect ambience - takes you right to Italy and great food! Everything was made from scratch and had fresh ingredients. This is a gem of a find, we will be coming back for sure.
Had a nice meal with a friend. Our server knew the menu and made sure our drinks stayed full, brought extra bread and dipping sauce, and brought boxes when it was time to go. Very professional and well done. The menu of course is uniformly good with plenty of familiar favorites as well as a few specialties. Always good to eat at Monjuni's!
Great food, nice people, amazing place. Would be 5 stars, but you was out of the lunch special, someone ahead of us ordered 6 take outs of it. I know it's not your fault, but I was so hoping on the Friday's special, it's that good
Make sure you go to the original location on Louisiana Avenue. Your experience starts of with what I call Italian chips and salsa. It is their “Salsa di Pomidoro” served heated with toasted buttered Italian bread. We also buy at least 1 jar to take home. I am a creature of habit and get the lasagna. Since Shreveport is a 3 hour one way drive I do not get to eat their often. My wife has tried several dishes over the years and enjoys them all equally. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Great place for lunch or dinner OR for a couple or family. Go and enjoy yourself.
Worst meal I have had in years. So gross the water was that the tea even tasted awful. One sip and I had the server take it back and got a bottle of water. Then when I asked how the egg plant parmesian was, I was told it was very good. I ordered it and when I bit into the egg plant it was like rubber. So very gross. I took the pieces out and they looked like they were prefrozed and microwaved. Rubbery and nasty. I had some young man come and ask what was wrong and I told him and handed him the plate of nast what ever they called it. He apologized and took the plate and left. The server then asked if she could have them make another plate. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I told her no and to just charge me for the spaghetti and the meatball. When we got our check she told me that since the egg plant parmesian is twice baked, I still had to pay for the second baking. OMG! My husband had the shrimp fettucine alfredo and couldn't eat much of it as he said it was gross but didn't want to complain. I went here 3 years ago and it was good. Now I am so sick to my stomach and disgusted. I will never go here. Biggest waste of $47 ever
I ordered Monjuni's because my co-workers raved about it, but was disappointed. The Chicken Alfredo was not good at all and my garlic bread was cold and not very tasty. I need a refund!
