This was our first trip here on a recommendation from a family member and we weren't impressed.We went at lunchtime on Saturday and had no problem getting a seat. It is a very nice clean buildingWe ordered the Mongolian Beef & Sesame Chicken. The Chicken Chowder Soup they brought out was more akin to chicken and dumplings than any soup I've had. And it didn't taste like any chowder I've ever had either. My wife looked it but I didn't. The Mongolian Beef was a huge disappointment and tasted closer to what you get with Beef & Broccoli at most Chinese joints. Very little flavor with just beef and onions. I could have easily eaten it with mashed potatoes. The fried rice was the other disappointment of our meal It really wasn't fried rice like I've had before. It was bland and you might as well just order white rice.The highlight of the meal was the Sesame Chicken. It had big chunks of chicken breast and was fried and seasoned well.Will I go back? Probably not. It just didn't impress us at all. Nice building, great service but the food needs an upgrade.
Friends took me here for lunch and this was my first time eating here. I was very pleased! The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, the waiter was helpful and attentive, and the food tasted fresh. I got a to-go order of Sweet and Sour Chicken for my husband and he enjoyed it for dinner!
Top notch service, atmosphere, and food here! Jacob was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Food was perfectly fresh and delicious! Cucumber salad is an absolute must! The brown and white rice was cooked to perfection. We had the garlic shrimp and the steamed vegetables with tofu. All were AMAZING! Wish we were in this area more often, but we will be back next time we are in town.Thank you Imperial Cathay!!!
First time to eat there, everything was very good! Highly recommend the appetizer for two, we all sampled different food and it was all great! Will definitely return

Sad to see people say this is the best Asian restaurant in Shreveport. Growing up I was eating so many types of Asian food all the Asian restaurants have disappointed me so far in Shreveport Bossier. It's okay if you are accustomed to this level of Asian food I guess.
My food is good. They always have excellent staff. The owners are always on site and very conscientious. They are friendly and the atmosphere is good. I have never had a bad experience here. Everything I have eaten has been good quality, prepared well and very tasty. It's a nice place to go. It's one of the few places left that has carpet and cloth napkins and a very nice atmosphere. I highly recommend.
The service was nice, but it is pretty expensive for just meh food in mediocre quantities.I had the shrimp lo mein and it was pretty ok, not very many veggies in there which caught me off guard. The noodles were just ok.Also tried my friend’s combination mu shu which was also just ok.There are no descriptions on the menu!
Great food and service. This place has had good food for as long as I can remember going here.
Good Chinese food. Reasonable prices. Service was good. I would visit again.
