I had never visited this establishment until yesterday with a friend and I got the Italian ice with Tigers blood and I totally fell in love. I actually took my son later the same day. I am forever a customer.
Great Italian ice, frozen custard, and treat offerings. Something for everyone. The staff are kind and professional and the treats are wonderful. Stop by, if there's a line--it is worth the wait.
OH MY GOD! I’ve never been here before, and I regret never going until now! The concrete is SOOO smooth and creamy! Absolutely delicious and the girls are incredibly sweet!!!
Always so delicious. I usually get the gelati so i get a little italian ice and a little frozen custard. It is THE best custard ive ever had. People who work there are always kind.
Came to this restaurant for the first time today to try their Italian ice that I've been wanting to try for a while now. I drive all the way there from over an hour away to not get served! I showed up right as they were closing, after speeding across town to try & make it before closing while also seeing other cars in the drive thru line. They were all able to get serviced meanwhile I didn't. The little girl turned the menu off as she saw me reading the menu, after we both made eye contact, so I knew it was intentional & she found it funny in doing so. When I finally reached the window to order, four little girls were hiding behind the machines & behind the window laughing refusing to take my order. After being caught, they all tried to come out of hiding but were still continuing to hide & laugh about it, all the while going back & forth with one another saying that they weren't going to take my order. A group of little girls playing in the drive thru refusing to take my order when I was the last car. What's one more car? What's one more cup of ice? I thought it was completely childish & pathetic the way these teenage girls acted but what do you expect from 14-16 year olds? It was completely inappropriate & childish. I just drove off after I saw them hiding & laughing because they refused to take my order. I was having a bad day due to the anniversary of my grandfathers passing & tried my best to make it across town to try this spot for the first time just to be disrespected & laughed at by a bunch of teenage girls who wanted to play hide & go seek through a window.
Was going to give only 3 stars because lobby is STILL closed so only drive-thru available - and VERY inconvenient as soon as there are three cars. Also, if you are doing drive-thru only, have a menu displayed AT the window - but they don't! It is further back. However! We ordered a chocolate gelato - smooth, silky and richly chocolate, a strawberry Italian ice - also smooth and slightly tart, and a sour green apple shaved ice, which is perfectly sour - and they were all three ready in less than two minutes! Military discount is also offered. I spilled some ice and the sweet attendant quickly noticed and offered napkins.
The line was extra long because everyone needed a cool treat today in the heat. A happy face from Happy Belly's came out to take orders in line to speed up the wait. My order was wrong, but the service was great
I am a huge fan of Happy Belly's! I almost always get a gelati with whatever the rotating flavor is. This place is so delicious!! They also have concretes that rival Andy's, and you can customize anything! I go here frequently
Great service and amazing product! The kids got Oreo concretes and an Orange Fanta Float. No one in the car complained a bit!
I freaking LOVE this place! I have my favorite employees who remember me and my daughter and know what we like. There are so many options between the Italian Ice and the frozen Custard with the various mixes and toppings that you cannot go wrong. I was hating when they were shut down for a while due to damage to their building from a drunk driver. Appreciate them even more! Awesome run small business, awesome college employees, awesome flavors I’d the smoothest Italian ice and custard ever. Shreveport/Bossier is so blessed to have this business! Let’s make sure we let them know!
