We arrived at the restaurant a little later than planned, and a little closer to closing time than I like. The wait staff were genuinely happy to seat us and had our drinks and chips/salsa on the table in no time. The head cook/chef actually came through the dining area checking on the remaining customers and took our order himself. He recommended the burrito supreme with green sauce and his recommendation was on point. Delicious!!This is one of my favorite places to have my man child take me to eat. Authentic Mexican food, great service, and great drinks.

Chips and salsa good, food good. Rice kind of bland but they use black beans for the refried and they are good. If you are hungry get the large quesadilla, the small wasn't enough for leftovers.

I love the customer service, so friendly. The food came out cool, and it wasn't that many people in there. Also, the menu was way too vast for my taste.

10 out of 10!! It's location is perfect, a ton of parking.. the family that own and operate are just WONDERFUL people. I eat here easily 2-3 times a week. The food is awesome , the salsa is the best in town. I cannot express enough how i enjoy this restaurant.

If you have any self respect dont order the "Fillete de pescado relleno". Absolutley horrendous. Fish was obviously old, unclean shrimp, you could feel the dirt in your teeth. And a god awful sauce. Had it not been for my sister's shrimp burrito (which was pretty good) i would have given a one star. This restaurant is a hit or miss with it's dishes.

I loved it.. they have a very large variety of food, including kids menu. We got our food hot and it was delicious... I would definitely be back n will be trying different foods from the menu. This is actually Mexican food.. and it is made exactly ? % Mexican. . I would only recommend them to have always hot coffee ready tho.

The staff was very kind and accommodating the food was absolutely delicious and more than adequate I made two meals out of my one entree. But really it was the kindness of the staff that was the award winner.

I do love their food, but they are fairly stingy on what is put on your plate. Not heaped up like most Mexican places. Very scant. Like the tostada with guac, a thin layer of guac across the tortilla. Mose places put at least half an inch of quac on the thing. Just an example but we found everything to be scant if I am saying that right. And it is a lot way from our house with lots of Mexican restaurants in between which give you more food, so--.

The food was good and the prices are good to. The service was a little slow and I got beef enchiladas but I ordered chicken enchiladas. I like both it just wasn't what I ordered. It was lunch time and they were pretty busy.

In town for a business trip, took my family to El Compadre and wasn't disappointed. For starters, the wait staff was super friendly and they were on point for the entire visit. I'm usually not a fan of whiter quesos but I totally plowed through this one. Chips were awesome, hot, not greasy... Perfect. If I'm ever in Shreveport I'll be back, great prices and great food.
