Simply put, if u like downhome meals and want a variety, this is your place. They also have different frozen specialty meats to choose from as well.
Great boudin and sausage. The cured ham is awesome too. Every time I'm in Shreveport I bring an ice chest and stock up!
Had crawfish...well seasoned. Great variety of meats. Good prices...will visit again when in the area.
Rude employees: I’ve gone in this store several times before and have never been treated so rude. Hard as hell to order when two workers repeatedly asking “will that be all” “is there anything else” “what else” Got darn give me a chance to tell you what all I want. So when I say I only need one person waiting on me, the other (Stephanie) gets an attitude. Then both turn out to be very rude and laughed when I ask for a manager. The other one said she was the manager. But I see why the worker who say her name is Stephanie is so darn rude and disrespectful cause the so call manager (Makayla) is rude and childish also. The owner should really get rid of both of them. I will not be back in this store.
No pork cracklins available. Chicken cracklins, which is primarily why we stopped at this location versus Bossier, were not hot. Were gummy like they were recently defrosted. Bought a pound and when we got home, we put them in the air fryer so that they could actually be called a crackin. About half of them were actually nuggets of chicken meat. Unseasoned. All in all, not worth what we paid. I'm originally from S Louisiana so this was a place for me to get the closest thing to what I'm used to but not So Much Anymore. I'll just save my time and money and wait till I'm in Lafayette.
We went in about 3:00 today. Staff behind the counter could have cared less if we were there or not. Food was insanely bad and old except the crawfish pie. It was edible. Bought some boudin to take back to Oklahoma, so there is still hope it wasn’t a total bust. If you have to travel out of your way to get to this place, take it from us, don’t. Too many good places to waste your time here.
Food was amazing, stocked up on my usual items. The customer service here is beyond terrible. I used to love this place but the customer service is so bad makes me not want to return. 2/24/22 around 1pm
The food was good as usual. However, the customer service could be better. It's like the lady upfront knows nothing about their food. I suggest that they get someone up front that knows more about what's being sold.
Good quality food but the to go orders are horrible. Today is the 3rd time ive gotten to go and they give double scoups of rice with no red beans. or double rice with no beef tips.
Staff are not friendly. Staff was stacking to go trays upside down on the floor. We looked at their menu for Shreveport on line before we arrived. Then told they do not carry those items. Yes we were on the Shreveport location as stated before. We were then told they took their menu off line. We'll it is still there. She gave us a menu and high lighted the items they carry. We looked at and decided. When we ordered we were told they did not have 2 of those items either.Manager was rude and did not come back out. We originally talked to her and she went to the back and never came out again. And I was hoping g to order Thanksgivung food from them. Mope. Do not waste your time.
