Just had to walk out because server completely ignored us. There was a black guy that did bring us water. We sat and the server never came and it was only us and one other guest. Instead of even acknowledging us, he went to the table that had already ate and asked did they want anything else. After that he still didn't serve us. Guess we were too dark for him.??♂️??♂️??♂️
The tables were too close together and the food was mediocre. Had the lamb chops and was not impressed. Restaurant is in a converted something or other and is not conducive to good conversations while trying to visit with family.
My wife and I had a fantastic experience here. We are new to the area and will be returning often! I had the scallops while she had the shrimp & grits. Both were phenomenal! This is the type of restaurant we need more of. It's small, family owned establishment with an attention to detail.
Shreveport's best kept fine dinning experience. Service and food is always top notch!
Tomato bisque was good. The steak was so tough, I couldn’t chew it. It was also cold. The chicken was tough. How can chicken be cooked tough. The salmon my daughter said was okay. The cream brûlée was cold. I was really looking forward to this being a great experience from recommendations but it was a let down. Maybe the set menu for Mother’s Day ($50 each) resulted in poor prep, not sure. We are now headed for pizza. Still hungry….. Thought surely someone in our party of 7 would like it but NO
Well to say the least, we are extremely disappointed. We are always advocates of supporting local businesses. We saw an ad on a local radio station's FB page offering Mother's Day suggestions. The ad stated Bella Fresca , on Line Ave in Shreveport, LA, was offering a 3 course meal at a price of $39 per person. We decided to try it out and take our group of 7 there for Mother's Day. We reserved our table/time using the phone number provided on the ad. We arrived early , and were seated right away. It was busy, so we forgave the lengthy wait for service, drinks and order taking. We had drinks, our meal was served and we received the bill. It was significantly higher than we had calculated. The price we were charged was actually $49 per person rather than $39 as the ad had said. We proceeded to inquire of the difference. We provided the server with the ad, which he pulled up on his own device to read for himself. He then proceeded to tell us he would not honor the ad. They had also added their own gratuity, based upon the amount of the bill; which was $70 higher than we had expected. Not to mention , one cocktail cost $27. An old fashioned. Martinis (we ordered 3 total) were $15 a piece. We decided to reach out to the restaurant via their page upon leaving. We were told the ad was wrong, and that it really wasnt their issue. That even though the radio station ad listed their name, address, phone number, and menu and times, that it was not an ad for THEIR restaurant. This is the ONLY Bella Fresca around. Offered us no condolences. Not an apology. Suggested we take it up with radio station. Our bill totaled close to $500. And not one ounce of care or concern for our confusion due to the ad posted just days before Mother's Day. So if you are in for a mediocre , Outback level steak with a large price tag and a customer service mentality one would sign up for going to a Dick's Last Resort; Bella Fresca is your place. And if you have reason to voice a humble complaint, or area of confusion, be prepared to be told "Not our problem" or "hope you figure it out" , as they take your money, unapologetically. Please see the attached ad. Clearly, no confusion.
Hidden gem in Shreveport! My husband and I love trying local restaurants wherever we land as military. Belle Fresca was hands down the best meal, margaritas, atmosphere, and service we have experienced in Louisiana! I had filet mignon, cooked perfectly the first time. My husband had the Cajun Alfredo with shrimp, hand made noodles & homemade sauce. But by far the highlight for me was the ravioli appetizer… divine! Both pasta dishes were actually better than authentic Italian restaurants in New Jersey. Our waitress, Benn had fine dining service skills and was super friendly, and a well dressed gentleman attending the dining room, slipped over and discreetly filled water glasses every time they were within an inch of the bottom. The only critique we could give is that the faded sign in front and bland looking building doesn’t do justice to the quality and overall class of the establishment.
My husband and I celebrated ? our 8th year anniversary at Bella Fresca on January 14th. Sasha, our waiter was awesome! Thanks for taking care of us Sasha ?
Presentation excellent!Smoked Salmon dish was missing the capers but still goodCrawfish ravioli sauce is to die for-perfect in every way just needed to be served hot only three ravioli?Server was accommodating and friendly.Atmosphere was excellent!
Staff was amazing!!! Gave us space, but was attentive. Portions a little small imo but I have a hearty appetite so no fault on them. Everything was delicious and cooked properly. The bread was yummy with softened butter. Thai fried calamari was tender. The crayfish ravioli was packed. The steak and frites was cook to asked doneness. Overall will try to plan to be back.
