Absolutely love this local gem! Great people great atmosphere great food!I can never get enough! Love the bears family

Great place to have a drink with friends, play some pool, and have a bite to eat! I recommend the Bear's Mac & Cheese with brisket!

The bartenders are wonderful, the drinks & food are delicious! I recommend the fried mushrooms and green goddess sauce but the burger is always an excellent choice!

Really cool spot and actually had cider options which is hard to come by, so I was surprised. The band was extremely loud but if you know what to expect and like that, it’s for you!! The crowd was a little bit young but I didn’t know what to expect. Overall, cool spot!

I love the exterior of this tavern, right in city centre and yet it gives off that chalet kind of vibe, even in the midst of a Dirty South disgustingly August Summer night, you could still, with the outside appearance here, and the forgiving blast of air-conditioning from within, maybe imagine, if just for a minute, that yes, you’re in Switzerland, in the Alps, maybe, and it is whatever or wherever you want in to be in that moment. This is the place to be, when fantastic local bands play here, bands I simply adore, if not worship. With worldwide music on a downward slope, you’ll find massive original talent here still undiscovered from without: Old Flames, Ghost Foot, Star Chamber, just a few that play here on the reg and are worth whatever small minimal cover you might pay to gain entrance here when they do in fact jam on whatever night you might attend. Old Flames lead singer, Jim Reed does solo gigs and also hosts trivia on various nights. Ghost Foot drummer Dacoda Montana also slings drinks here. Dudes are legends and they work here as well. Both look like they should be in a Sons of Anarchy reboot, but both are as talented and as friendly of gentlemen as one could hope for. That’s the way it should be. Back in the day, you might see a young Elvis just walking down the street here. Daniel Johnston worked at a McDonald’s in Austin by choice. Unknown rock stars serve and entertain you inside a faux European ski lodge in Shreveport, Louisiana. The food here is affordable, inspired, creative, and delicious. The service is friendly, dependable, consistent and top notch. The drinks here will get you wherever it is you need to get. The music will leave you feeling that maybe you’ve just seen and heard something amazing that the world needs to know about, but then at the same time, you want to just selfishly keep it all to yourself and keep it all right here.

Loved this place, and its eclectic vibe! Food was crazy good too. Best burger I've had in a long time!

Love this place! My grandparents went here when they were my age and now I'm getting to enjoy this unique place myself! Their food is always hot and tasty and they even host fun events and shows. Definitely a must if you're looking for a great place to grab some brews with your krew.

Very cool inviting place. Everyone there was very nice and the food was great! I didn't know they had food and it turns out they've got a full menu now. The live music was great too!

Best bar in the SBC. If you are looking for something different in the area and music other than country, this is the place.

great place for live music
