Have tried their desserts at events where they catered or were purchased from in bulk. Cookies, chocolate fudge, and lemon bars were way too sweet. Some items are well-balanced but the amount of sugar used is just way too much. Some of their desserts were very well decorated and the items are consistent in shape and appearance. Overall good attention to detail but lacking in the flavor dept. In my opinion.
I had a cannoli and pink champagne cupcake, both were great. Really loved the frosting and I'm not usually a frosting person.Girl behind the counter was great.
This was once our go to place for celebration outings but we went just the other day and while yes it was early the staff was not prepared nor knew what they were doing. Cupcakes still wonderful staff needed work
I am disappointed and frustrated we had an appointment to go cake tasting for our wedding cake she called the day of cancel said she had an emergency ok cool she rescheduled us for Wednesday of the next week we went she wasn't there I was told someone order a cake in Monroe and could not come get it so she went deliver it but she never made our samples so I asked the young lady to ask her to call me when she return I never received a call ? 2 days pass I went back to she's not there again!! So finally someone called setup is an appointment for today I called before going there I was told one was there who could help me she knew nothing about it. Is this a professional business place or a joke!!! shop
This place is infested with rats. DO NOT EAT THERE. They never clean, and they use that bread that's had rats eating from it, and the rats prefer white over wheat.
We ordered a cookie cake for my granddaughter’s birthday. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The cookie was so stale we had to use a butcher knife to cut it. I wish I had videoed the facial expressions of the guests who took a bite, then immediately spit it out. The decorations were strange and seemed haphazard. Her birthday wish phrase was incomplete. This terrible cookie cost $72.00. I wonder if the bakers ever taste their own creations. Needless to say, we won’t be back. I subbed in 2 delicious $10.00 cookie cakes from Super One. (And the decorations were personalized and adorable). Don’t waste your money buying pastries from Uptown Downtown.
Morgan has been our go to caterer, lunch stop, and special occasion sweet provider for many years. She provided the cakes and sweets for our wedding as well as our rehearsal dinner and has helped/provided food for many events I have been a part of. Morgan would give the shirt off her back for her friends/family and is one of the most creative individuals I know. We highly recommend her!!
One of the mangers was very unprofessional and cursed at me because I was telling her a issue I had!! I feel like I was mistreated due to race. I’ve been coming to this places for years on top of years!!! I will not be coming back… I have never posted anything using a race card but this is ridiculous!! Regardless of right or wrong you don’t curse customers. I never cursed back at her or raise my voiced!! Then she told me I felt entitled, I need to learn how to read, which I have several degrees and a master’s I can definitely read and write!!!
We were the only people in the restaurant. We ordered peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the kids and 40 minutes later they were “almost” ready.
My friend and I went for the very first time today and we were super excited after seeing a lot of great reviews… to say the least we were extremely upset by the treats we bought and threw them all in the trash. I can’t say we’d go back after the experience we had.
