We had only a short time for lunch in a break from a meeting near the convention center and a friend recommended we try Corporation Bar and Grill after finding a recommendation on eater. We were in business casual attire and laughed because we felt overdressed for this experience but felt welcome and had a great time. Very casual environment. Walk to the back and order at the counter- a large selection of po boys and local options as well as a variety of fried foods- the tater tots were excellent. After ordering, you walk to the bar, order drinks and pay the tab. Then sit down and the food is brought out. I had a BLT and it was perfect and my friends tried the shrimp po boys - they weren’t as impressed with those as they had hoped. This would have been a fun hole in the wall bar experience, we just didn’t have time for that! Interesting little place.
We were told by locals at the hotel this was their favorite place to eat. It isn't much to look at but the food was very, very good. The shrimp was tender, golden brown and a good serving size. Will stop in here again any time we are in town.
This place was steps from the front door of our hotel. It is a dive with terrific food during the day, excellent service and reasonable prices. We started and ended our days there!
Friendly staff, good drinks at good prices. We didn't try the food because we had just eaten, but the locals say the Po boys are very good. It's worth a visit!
Place looks rough when you walk in, order food at the back counter is odd, but the Gumbo is excellent, plenty of Po Boys to pick from and the Beers are Ice Cold! Folks were very nice, a slice of New Orleans on Peters St. close to Convention Center
This place definitely appears to be a dive bar. It isn’t very clean. The bartender was rude and mouthy. It’s unfortunate bc being so close to the convention center, it has so much potential to be a place people want to go.

This place is a prime example not to judge a book by its cover. What it lacks in ambiance, it makes up for with the food. There is no table service..you order and pay for drinks at the bar and food is ordered in the back of the restaurant. Food is simple, very tasty and reasonably priced. Although it’s definitely a hang out for locals, it’s great place for a great meal.
I went here years ago on a mission trip and this amazing little hole-in-the-wall was right next to our hotel. They gave me my first alligator po'boy and I fell in love! Great food, great atmosphere. Now that I'm over 21 I wanna go back and enjoy the bar fully!
Amazingly, fresh Po’boy - the bread, the lettuce, the shrimp and oysters, everything was super fresh and you can taste it in every bite. My friend had the lunch special and it was red beans with smoked sausage, salad and bread. Nothing was left lol. Very nice lady taking the orders and also a nice lady at the bar. Great place, won’t disappoint!
