Was some of the best fried chicken I ever ate. Red beans were awesome too.
This was the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had— seriously! But the wait was way too long (an hour!) which is why I only gave it four stars.
First meal in NOLA. It kind of disappointed. The family and I dropped our things off at the hotel and did a quick search for good food in the area. This place was within walking distance so we decided to dine here.It took 40 minutes for food to arrive. The fried chicken was great, but not worth the wait. The friend shrimp had a seasoning that was a bit salty. If i wasn't so hungry, i guess i would wait again, but i would likely just visit another eatery in the marketplace it was in.
Love this location especially since it’s open on weekends, but be forewarned even though their hours say they are open until 8pm on Saturday that is not the case. I arrived by 7:15 and the workers were already cleaning up with the ‘closed’ sign up.5 stars for food. Loved the flavors!3 stars for unstructured hours/schedule
I went to the original location on Saint Ann not the one showing on Google. It was grandma's spicy fried chicken to the fullest! Delicious! Great! Fantastic! You will have to wait in line but good things come to those who wait. Very fulfilling!
Went their with Son and DIL on a Friday around 3:30. Had a bit of a wait but then the place is small...so its not like the tables were empty. I cant say its the best chicken but it is the best I have ever had. It was seasoned just right to where it was a tad spicy but you werent needing a drink after each bite. Will eat it again. Probably next time grab an order for the drive home to Houston.
I went to the location at the Pylon Market and had the butter beans and rice, macaroni and cheese, and fried chicken. It was all on point very tastey and savor.. It was very well seasoned with a little kick. Everything is made fresh to order. This is that home cook good food that gives you the ITIES. I would highly recommend when in the NOLA you stop by.
Food is to die for! The Pithian mall location has more hours than the original location making it easier to eat sooner. Fried chicken was juicy and very tasty. Best I've had. Mac and cheese is creamy and delicious. Red beans were very tasty. Bread pudding was heavenly.
The BEST fried chicken in the city of New Orleans, hands down. The sides are amazing as well and it was some of the best fried fish I've ever had as well. Do yourself a visit and eat there ASAP!
Perhaps it was the luck of the draw, the fried I ordered was too salty. The batter had a lot of salt and it was difficult to eat the chicken. The wait to get the chicken platter was too long. More than 15 minutes, and I was too hungry to ask for a replacement. Also, a group next to me had to get their chicken dish re-done as the meat was undercooked. The Red Beans and Rice and Okra were spot on and some of the best I taste. I was here for the chicken and left disappointed. The price of the chicken is pretty much on the higher side too. I hope to go back again and perhaps get a better experience, next time I visit New Orleans. This chicken is rated among the best in the country.
