What service and great food!! Welty's was highly rated and close to the WW2 museum so it matched all our needs. We arrived less than 40 minutes to closing and got the best service. Menu, specials, sides and drinks were explained. The muffaletta was HUGE, delicious and was also our dinner it was so much good food. The dipped sandwich was also wonderful. The breads, meats and service were the best we've had in the city. The staff checked on us several times, chatted and were super friendly to all the patrons. Even when we left and someone was coming in with just minutes to closing they were helping her with same courtesy. 5 5 stars PLUS..
Delicious mufaletta. The bread was awesome, nice and fresh. Also had the shrimp and okra soup. Very good too. Friendly people working there make you feel right at home.

Muffuletta, Chicken Parmesan with Shrimp Salad outstanding Best Ever . Love the desserts n Rubens Sandwich. Best place to eat in the French Quarter. Definitely go back.
The muffalletta was huge. Tasty with tons of meat piled on high. The bread was toasted perfectly leaving it slightly crispy but still soft. I would only say that ratio wise the olives needed better representation. The sweet tea was also good tho a bit bland for me.
So happy I found and supported this local place. Food was excellent and had enough for leftovers. Owner was a hoot and made me feel at home. Worth your time.
Hole in the wall. Stopped in for lunch while in town on business. One of best subs I've ever had. Great selection of sauces. Love the topping bar too. The brownie was also to die for. Awesome customer service
Awesome spot, call in your order ahead of time to save 20+ min. Muffuletta was spectacular as well as the pastrami. Loved all the sauces and condiments you can add. Salads nothing special stick to sandwiches. Great service.
we looked at dozens of reviews and spoke with several locals before we picked weltys and boy are we happy we did. it was our kids first trip to Nola and their first muffalettas and everyone, all 5 kids included were amazed with them. every single kid was "mmmmmmmming" through full mouths. their creole potato salad was unlike anything we have had before but now we're addicted. The staff was so welcoming and helpful they made lifetime customers out of us. thank you Weltys staff for a memorable and delicious lunch my family won't soon forget.
The people that work her are sooo nice! They were friendly, helpful, and kept the place super clean. The salads here are huge and delicious and the muffaletta passed this Italian's test!
