I came recently to NOLA for a conference and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, which is about a 5-minute walk from Walk-Ons. I was traveling alone, so was perfectly fine with a place where I could sit at the bar. I enjoyed my first night there, so I repeated for the next three nights (three dinners, and one just dessert as I had already eaten). Walk-ons is a nicey designed sports bar with the obligatory TVs just about everywhere showing what TVs in sports bars show. They have a large selection of beers on tap, and they come out frosty and delicious. According to the menu, Walk-ons is a franchise, though I wouldn't have known it. There were plenty of local favorites good enough to fool this out-of-towner (try the gumbo). The one night I came for dessert I got the cookie sundae, which came out hot and gooey and fantastic. The service was great. I hope to repeat the next time I'm back in NOLA.

Great place to meet go on your own , go with your friends for the big game or take your family to dinner.Servers and bartenders were friendly and attentive. Food was quick, hearty and delicious!Would go back again!

A nice sport bar where you can eat nice local dishes like spinach and artichoke dip, a very tasty ahi tuna salad. I got Voodoo shrimps and grits: big shrimp rolled with bacon. They do have a very good list of local and non beers. Fast and professional service!

Super good food! We came here on a whim and it did not disappoint! Love that the location is close to the hotel in the CBD, the food is awesome and HUGE portions! We got the sweet chili boneless wings for an app and they were to die for! Then we ordered the double cheese burger, the hangover burger and the chicken berry pecan salad. All amazing! The salad is the biggest I've ever seen! Good service, good atmosphere. We were glad for the late hours too! Seems like everything closes super early which makes it hard to explore all day and make it back in time to eat. Highly recommend!

I arrived in at my hotel in the early evening on a Sunday. It was around 8 PM by the time I was ready to look for dinner. To my surprise, most of the restaurants had 9 PM closing times. Walk-On's was close to my hotel and said it was open later, so I reluctantly went in resigned to pub food. To my relief they had a good selection of salads. I chose the chicken berry pecan salad. It was a large mound of mixed greens and lots of fruit and chicken. The raspberry vinaigrette was not too sweet and in just the right amount. Although I was very hungry, I left a third of it uneaten. I was stuffed! The staff were pleasant and attentive. I was seated promptly on arrival and my server checked on me frequently. Highly recommended.

Just got into town and choose WALK ON'S for our first meal. Started with the Bang Bang Shrimp, then had the Ribeye PoBoy. What a Sandwich!!! Skye was a great waitress... Very friendly and interactive. The tea was freshly brewed and the beer was cold.

Hostesses were friendly but one was digging in his nose. Table was dirty and chair had a spill on it also on the floor. I alerted the hostess to the spill he cleaned the chair but not the floor. So for the entire meal my shoes were sticking to the floor. Waitress was quick and helpful.

Great alligator appetizer with side Cesar salad, Krispy Kreme bread pudding and vanilla ice creme. Lemonade ice tea, was just right now too sweet.

Came to check out Barstool Sports! Was extremely crowded but it was a nice environment. Got a drink and then proceeded to get packed liked sardines haha! Very friendly environment but long wait times. Former UNC alum and NBA player Tyler Hansborough was there!

We were told it would be a half an hour to an hour wait but it was only 15 min. Very friendly servers. And the food was good. We also had libations.
