My boyfriend and I got takeout from Vieux Carre on our second night ever being in New Orleans! He got the fried catfish platter and I got bbq chicken wings. The catfish was delicious and the hush puppies that came with were the best we've ever had!!! The wings are meaty and tender, and the BBQ sauce is delicious! It's unlike any I had tried before; nice little kick to it.
Vieux Carre fries are perfect after a long night of drinking on Bourbon St. Cheap, fresh and filling great grab and go item.
The reviews have to be fake. I ate 12 wings for $20 bucks. I got franks hot sauce flavor. The wings were small and fried and tossed in Frank sauce without mixing with butter. The sauce would not stay and wing and tasted of metal and old oil. Avoid this place!
Amazing Shrimp Po Boy! $13.Normally don't eat on bourbon st due to the disqust but gave in to this little hole in the wall take out spot 50ft back. this is a tiny shop ran by Asian guy . meant for takeout. two seats , lots of boxes and storage items around. quick service. sandwich was insanely good. I ate it across street at a table outside the bodega. lady next to me commented 'it is the best po boy shop'..I agreed as I took photos of my sandwich. definitely recommend!
I'm hesitant to even give 3 stars right now but I'll give the benefit of the doubt. I sincerely want the best for your place and every restaurant in my city....this is New Orleans and I want to be proud to recommend every single place in my hometown! I host out of town visitors several times per week and this is important to me. I ordered the "garlic parmesan" wings and they came with no flavor at all...ZERO flavor! This is unacceptable. I was told the garlic parmesan sauce would be on the side and it wasn't - it just came with ranch. You have to do better. The lemon pepper wings had a little flavor but it wasn't much - they could use more lemon pepper DUMPED all over them...take this into consideration please and I'm willing to give it another chance!!
The wings was good and the pasta wasn't bad at all a lil pricey for both but was good?
Just tried the bourbon special. AMAZING! Nice staff, good environment, and the pizzas are full of cheese and they are incredible tasty!

Great late night wings and the guy running it was a super star!!! An amazing one man show. And food was just right. Hit the spot. Don’t wait on Bourbon street. One block over is better!
