Best sandwiches I've ever had - we split a few. The Fried Bologna - amazing, the saltiness was perfect, the crunch great, all around great sandwich. The Collard Green Melt - best sandwich I've ever had (not a vegetarian here) - this was a must try for anyone. Fries were great, and the pot pie was really tasty! Make this a must stop - I recommend being there early to get in line!
Woooooow I loved this place so much - tiny menu but so perfect. I am obsessed with the collard green melt but the chik'n sandwich was also lit (both vegetarian options - may have actually been vegan). Ambience was great too. Be prepared to wait a bit but the line moves fast. We were able to sit outside. Make sure you grab extra napkins, you'll need em!
Always so good! Unpretentious and fun atmosphere with inside and outside seating. Lots of fun throwback touches to the decor. It's a small place, and if they are open then there's probably a line but it moves. Highly recommend the collard greens sandwich and the chicken pot pie hand pie; both kinda life-changing. Crazy good wedge salad too. Their drinks are yummy, especially the frozen margarita with mountain dew in it (deceptively strong)! Basically order anything and you won't be disappointed.
There are so many flavors to explore here. Being adventurous is seriously rewarded. The cabbage salad and the collard greens melt are two of the most unique menu items but both have a big pay out in flavor. You will not be disappointed. The only dish I wasn’t fond of was the gumbo sandwich but I took the chicken and put it on top of the salad!! At this point, we’ve tried almost everything on the menu except the bologna because we are waiting for it to restock. Food so good that our first time was Saturday and we were back today!
Air conditioned inside! Long line out the door, but fast service. Order at register. Go to the bar for drink refills. Special was a fried chicken sandwich. So good! Spicy sauce. I got my pickled carrots and red onion mix on the side and skipped the jalapeños. Such a great sandwich!
we walked over and there was quite a line, so we thought, has to be a good place for lunch. IT was good, just not fantastic. The venue was an outdoor casual, local neighborhood place.
If you’re looking for a trendy spot with delicious food come to Turkey and the Wolf. This spot will leave your mouth watering for more with every bite. They do have a limited/rotating menu but the wait and options are worth it, or come early to beat the wait. Currently there is only outdoor seating due to Covid.
We had our third visit to Turkey and the Wolf this past weekend and the food just gets better. Sadly, they no longer do the deviled eggs but we were more than happy with the massive plate of tater tots we got instead. My husband is a tater tot snob and he was over the moon happy with them. I got the bologna sandwich- wow. I don't know how they managed to make a sandwich that tastes like nostalgia for any former latchkey kid but also has the flavor complexity of a Michelin worthy restaurant... it's insane and so good. If you're visiting New Orleans, don't miss this place. It is a must-go for food lovers.
vegan chicken is unbelievable! i even thought is was a (not funny) joke only naming it vegan chicken but instead it would be a real chicken sandwich. amazing! messy, but i highly recommend :)and it came on a 00’ mc donalds plate lol i loved it
First time here and the hype is well deserved.Fried Bologna sandwich was incredible, smoked ham and cheese French roll delicious too.Love the deep fried Chicken Pot Pie, the crinkle cut fries were great too.Loads of outdoor seating space and a great vibe.Highly recommended, can't wait to visit again
