Lively coffeeshop/bar with a laid-back atmosphere. When we stopped in the place was pretty packed and with limited seating. We were still able to order quickly and our drinks and food were brought to us quickly. The iced cafe au lait was excellent, as was the raspberry filled beignet!
So I’m missing some pictures but just take my word lol. I’ll start with the good; the chaturi board was good all around and it didn’t take too long to come out. We also had the “Apple Brie Flatbread”, “Chicken BLT Flatbread”, and they where great, not too heavy. Now the bad; everything fried… as far as savory we had the “Boudin Balls”, the outside was visibly burnt, and they also tasted burnt. On the sweet side of things we had the “Traditional Beignet” and two “Fancy Beignets”.The Traditional was REALLY dry, I don’t even know how to describe how dry it was. The First Fancy Beignet was tolerable but would not recommend it or order it again and the second one was the worse. It came out RAW, there was uncooked dough all throughout the middle. They refunded the dessert without hesitation, I got the vibe that a lot of people send them back. I wouldn’t go out of your way to eat here.
Absolutely amazing!Coming from NJ, having never had a beignet, it somewhat sounded like a zeppoli. As it turns out, not really at all! VERY light, super delicious, and their fillings were just the best!We had our first ever beignets; Lemon Ricotta, Coconut Creme, and Raspberry, with our Café Au Lait, and also the Avacado Toast with Egg Bites. Everything was incredible, and we're absolutely going back at least once before heading home.
I enjoyed their Shrimp & Grit! It's flavorful yet not too heavy or creamy. However I was a little disappointed with their Beignets Bites. They were too dry.
This place had AMAZING beignets. Better than all the others, and no crazy lines. They had several flavors too. Highly recommend
This is the best avocado toast ever! I love this chill spot on Magazine. It seems to not get a huge tourist crowd.Order at the bar and take your food to the cute tables or stay at the bar. East street parking, DO NOT pay to park in a lot - it’s way too expensive.Fleurty Girl and Nola T-Shirt Club next doors are fun shops to hit.
Where else can you get a Beignet Flight?
Went straight here from the airport and it didn’t disappoint. This is my third visit to New Orleans and this is the best first stop I’ve had. Great food, lots of character and friendly service. The serving sizes are very nice for the price. I like that most of the food is very sharable.
Get the fancy beignets here, they are simply to die for. I recommend the flight, but at least get the blueberry one. The coffee and cafe aulet is also something special. Just a great way to stay your day.Staff was super nice and welcoming, the bathrooms were clean, and the prices are very reasonable too. Top notch establishment.
I went to Vintage on a Monday and waited over an hour for 2 beignets. While they do have the best beignets in NOLA, I wouldn’t go back. The second time I ordered flat bread and it took over an hour again and it wasn’t crowded. The kitchen kept putting up food but the staff wasn’t picking it up so the kitchen kept taking it down. They also ran out of arugula for my dish.
