The Jimani was recommended to us by a local guy as we were walking down the street starving looking for a place to stop and eat. We ordered the spicy crab po’boy and the papa’s Philly cheesesteak. The crab po’boy was so freaking delicious- definitely recommend! The cheesesteak however was EXTREMELY salty, almost to the point of being inedible. We were required to buy a drink since we brought an outside drink into the establishment. I ordered a Malibu and pineapple - not sure if the bartender thought that I was too drunk to notice or what but there was definitely no Malibu or alcohol in the beverage at all. I also did not like that she held my credit card behind the counter and as I was observing while I was in there - she did not hold anyone else’s card. We were in there around 7-8 PM and it was not busy at all. Mediocre experience - would be less stars if the crab po’boy wasn’t to die for. The bartender did seem sweet and genuine if I didn’t feel like we were being profiled for being “intoxicated” pretty blonde girl with highlights and her hair curled - nice smile. The cook brought our food out fast. Overall, we paid $36 for both meals and the drink.

You'd probably do better if you got rid of theBartender.. Never met someone more rude or miserable. Announcing so loud that you're on your period and then purposely not putting our food order in. Real classy.

Food was great. Bar was busy but not too crowded. We ordered a couple of drafts and poboys. My wife ordered McGraw's Sausage Poboy amd I ordered Spicy Crab. Late dinner from our late flight but really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food!!!

Great place to enjoy a Badger game while in NOLA-they carry the BIG10, no other sports bar does. Bartenders and food were AMAZING! Mardi Gras made the experience even better???

great food down home feel great selection of libation from beer to mixed drinks to nice selection of spirits you cant go wrong here!

Awesome bartenders. Great food especially burgers and wings

Service and food are both amazing. Great selection of domestic and craft beer. Plenty of tv’s for sports. The vibe was immaculate. Can’t wait to come back to this place.

The food was fine, however the bar tender was very rude. Before even ordering I saw the interaction with her and another friendly patron, she was rude and condescending. Later on we asked for tap water, which you are legally obligated to give in a place that serveswas important because of the bad experience we had. I spoke to another patron, who was a regular and said she was always this rude. I would and want someone like that working for my bar.

I was pleasantly surprised. This is a decent dive bar. The food and drinks were inexpensive.

Don’t show up 10 mins prior to opening, even though the doors are wide open. Waitress will make you feel like you are bothering her and unwelcome. The cooks are awesome and friendly! Waitress needs to learn from them. We don’t have to spend our money in your place especially if you make us feel unwanted!!
