Best bruschetta I’ve ever had. Steak cooked to perfection. Clams were flavorful and everything was fairly priced for the quality and flavor. Highly recommend the peppercorn sauce for the center cut filet!
Not the least expensive Italian food you will find in New Orleans but excellent nonetheless. Recommend the truffle ravioli. Looking forward to going back.

This was my second experience at the Italian Barrel and it didnât disappoint! I was here 3 years ago with friends and it was delicious so I decided I wanted to return for my 40th birthday with my husband. Our server Chris was very knowledgeable and friendly. He went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and make me feel celebrated. The food was insanely delicious, just as I remembered. I had the spaghetti and veal meatball and my husband had the veal chop with cheese soufflé. My veal meatball was perfectly cooked and fell apart as I was cutting it with my fork. My spaghetti was al dente and soaked up the mouth watering marinara sauce. My husbandâs veal was stuffed with cheese, prosciutto, and a mint leaf. He didnât talk the entire time he was eating it - just made happy little sighs - it was that good! We both got dessert - tiramisu and chocolate profiteroles. Just as delightful as the rest of our meal! This was northern Italian cooking at its finest! I really wish this restaurant was located in my home state so I could eat here all the time!
Food was delicious and our server was incredibly attentive and polite. Highly recommend. Only downside was our table for four was a bit small. Everything else was great!
Great place to eat
Was such a great experience, we ate there twice! Had mussels appetizer with cocktails and just loved the gulf shrimp with pasta linguine with home made pesto, topped with fresh parmesan.
Enjoyed a lovely salad and also a bowl of spaghetti with one meatball. This is not in the photograph cuz it was too good and we had to eat it right away. I'll be back to try more
