Definitely a unique experience. We went early, right after they opened so the music volume was not bad. We could still talk. However, I heard that after midnight the music is deafening.

Lots of cool things/neat aesthetic, but you cannot take pictures - must be a way for them to get people in the door. It is definitely very overpriced (like all of Bourbon street, but I’m talking $75 for 4 vodka red bulls). I’d say it’s a must do for a trip to NOLA, but I’d probably only stay for a drink.

Went here to grab a drink and visit a place my clients had hyped up. But I was severely disappointed. Overall the aesthetic was cool. I even liked the really narrow alleyway (that only one person can fit down at a time) to get to it. But once we entered we found out the second floor wasn't even opened. And as I was taking a picture of my best friend on a throne they have in the back the bouncer/security approached me and said we couldn't take any pictures. Why would you even bother putting a throne in a place you don't want pictures taken at? Nothing inappropriate was being shown in that area, my flash was not on or anything. It felt very rude. This was within 3 minutes of us arriving. Plus the walk way directly around the bar is barely wider than the alleyway to enter and as we were going in we had a couple leaving and complaining about the same things I'm mentioning now. After we were approached I was no longer in the mood to stay crammed in this small box of a bar and buy drinks when I was clearly not welcome to take pictures to commemorate the memory/experience. So we left. I won't be visiting there again.

Kitschy vampire bar on a tour. It’s fun, super dark and has a coffin for pictures lol

Dark & mysterious… so, heads up, you are not allowed to take pictures inside… I see there are pics, so that might be new. It is a great tucked away divey, late night bar for when all others are closed. It is definitely a dungeon vibe with loud music and big speakers in the second floor. The bartender we met was very friendly.

The Dungeon is my absolute favorite bar in the country. The door guy can come off obnoxious at first but he is actually pretty chill when you get to know him. If you like rock, metal and industrial this is the place for you. The alcove outside the bar has this calming vibe that is a nice break away from the rest of New Orleans. Lauren is my favorite bartender there she has an amazing personality even when she's slammed busy.

Friendly goth bar, good tunes for thirty-something crowds like me!Space is amazing and fun, but gets crowded with squares on holidays it seems. Worth it!

One of the best bars I've been to in New Orleans! The decor is awesome and their music is amazing. If you like metal music, a cool theme, and great drinks from friendly bartenders you need to go here!

Amazing atmosphere with even more amazing staff, topped off drinks that are 'to die for' ?. Despite what the name might suggest, my time at 'The Dungeon' was beyond pleasant haha, and I will absolutely be visiting each and every time I am again visit New Orleans.

Great atmosphere and music. The first bouncer that was there was nice enough, but the other dude that showed up was super rude. I was looking for my vaccine card to go in and my friend brought me out a drink. They wouldn't let him back in because his wife had his vaccine card. I had to find her and she sent him a picture of it.
