Great tradition to have a cocktail at the revolving Bar and listen to some jazz. Bit touristy with expensive drinks but still a must do.
Come for the novelty of the carousel… keep coming back for the amazing drinks, live jazz and atmosphere. This bar just feels classy and so do the people that hang out here. I live in New Orleans, so I’ve come here quite a few times. The drinks are expensive but the bar tenders always make each one perfectly. Grabbing a seat at the carousel is a must… so get a drink at a nearby table so you can keep an eye on whoever is signing their check to scoop up the seat!
The Carousel Bar itself is cool and different. It does rotate very slowly. It's only worth it if you can get a seat on there, but it is always packed with people. There are no reservations or cover fees, simply walk in through the hotel lobby. Food and service are mediocre. Service is slow. Prices are comparable to regular sit-down restaurants with similar vibes. Overall, I would only recommend this place if you can get seats on the carousel.
Corey and Dwayne were so much fun to watch. They did a great job fixing drinks and providing banter as entertainment. We enjoyed our Vieux Carres. All the bartenders were great and friendly!
We just had to try out a spinning bar and the drinks were cold and delcious and the ride around the bar a few times so fun...wouldn't want to drink too much as you go in a circle that's for sure, but you just have to give it a whirl
A must see for sure but plan your strategy ahead to get a seat on the carousel... Bartenders on Monday June 6th Corey and _____ sorry were great and the waitress Bonnie THE BEST! Expect to spend a few $$$ but it was wroth it.
Great show by Nanci Quartet at the Carousel Bar/Lounge Hotel Monteleone. As always, we hit the Chart Room Bar, The Carousel Bar, and Pat O’ Brien’s. Great performance and show by Lena Prima at The Carousel Lounge on Thursday (From 9pm until 12am). Nanci Zee on Saturday (5PM -8PM).
Located in the Hotel Montelone is the fabulous carousel bar. Lovely bar with fantastic staff and a revolving bar. Just drinks for us but the food looked delicious

Located in the lovely Hotel Monteleone, you will find this bar completely packed all the time. The center features a "Carousel" with very limited seating that feature animals & rotates around the actual bar. I seems to be a place for people who want to be seen & say they were there, so of course, we had to check it out. We went twice (our hotel was nearby) with no luck & on our 3rd try we lucked out on seats at the Carousel. It is not easy to get service since you are always rotating. We took our pictures had a glass of wine & left. Mission accomplished. Would I do it again - no reason to, already have my pictures.
