The chips and salsa were fresh. The Tamarind drink was refreshing. The cheese pupusas were hot and tasty. The enchiladas with mole rojo were very good and filling. I needed to take half of it home!Portions were quite generous. And there were lots of sauce options on the table.The restaurant reminded me of many places in NYC.Unfortunately, there was a fly buzzing around my table and shooing it away kept me from fully enjoying my meal.
Al pastor.....nuf said....Taqueria Guerrero makes some of the best tacos in New Orleans, and their guac salsa is addicting. It can make anything taste good, so make sure you get extra for takeout orders. Honestly, I haven't had anything bad here. Their lengua is just as good as my favorite al pastor.
This place is absolutely filthy! My family came here last week to eat and we saw bugs crawling around all over the tables and on the floor. We spoke with Jade, one of the owners , and she was so rude to us we got up and left. We asked for a refund and she refused. We even pointed out the bugs crawling around and she ignored them!!! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS PLEASE!!!
This place is a gem!! Easy to get to, the food is authentic and delicious (and comes out nice and hot), the service was quick, and our waiter was awesome. The meat was so tender and flavorful for each of the 3 mains we ordered, and the lime that came with the tacos was huge and juicy. Guacamole had actual chunks of avocado. Highly recommend.
Don’t let the nondescript exterior fool you. Great food inside! Going back to try more items soon. The salsa/orange sauce is so good! Legit street tacos!
I have been searching for an authentic Mexican food since I moved to New Orleans and i was out of luck and i had given up... until I was walking by with my partner in Carrollton and i cannot i have been driving by this place all along. This place actually has the best pozole in the City. It was so delicious.This is going to be my new spot for my partner and I every Sunday.
I went here on a suggestion, and I'm glad to say I've found my New Orleans spot for tacos. I ordered 2 each of pastor, lengua, and tripas tacos. The meat was full of flavor and wasn't dried out or tough, the limes were fresh, the salsa that came with them paired very well, and just walking into the restaurant you knew you were going to be eating well. I moved back to Louisiana from being raised in California, and this place puts many of my go-to Mexican restaurants and taco trucks in California to shame. I look forward to visits in the future.
Hands down one of the best taquerias I’ve been too. We come from Houston and every time we leave New Orleans we stop and eat here before we hit the road. Definitely worth the stop and the food is awesome. Never disappoints!
