My daughter and I ate here before our Preservation Hall show. It was full of charm and ambiance - we sat inside because it looked like it might rain, but the courtyard looked great, too. My daughter ordered the chilled, roasted carrots and a pasta dish. I had the burger and fries. All of it was very good, and we enjoyed ourselves!
We were walking down the street and saw a candlelit courtyard and a smell I can't describe. We decided to stroll down the alley and see what was smelling so good. We were lucky and only had to wait two minutes for a table. We were limiting ourselves on dishes so we could eat more so we picked one thing, and It made me just want more. We did thier cabbage dish, it's grilled and served with a peanut and tomato sauce. It's hard to explain but I'll never forget it. I honestly cannot wait to come back to new Orleans just for this place! The staff was amazing by the way, also, offer to buy these amazing chefs a round of drinks too, they're worth it!!
This is a great dinner spot for a romantic dinner or in my case, a girls weekend. The cocktails are good, they were accommodating when I asked for a dishmade without the meat sauce, and the atmosphere was fun. At one point, people started singing, not in an annoying way, but in a true New Orleans music magic way. I really enjoyed my time here and would return.
Really well prepared food. The fries were perfect. Chicken sandwich and burger were both really good. Cute little outside eating area. I had a sazerac which was tasty and well made. Overall we’d definitely eat there again.
Sylvain's market salad was average. The breakfast bowl was good but some potatoes were burnt. The cocktails were good. The atmosphere was nice and also they have a cute patio in the back.
Pork loin, salad, grilled octopus appetizer and a beer all for under $100. We didn't have reservations so we opted for sitting at the bar, a few minutes wait. We could have sat outside in the courtyard, but as of late the temperature has been close to 100. All in all a pleasant dining experience.
So down here in the French quarters with a group of us we tried to stop at this place after our ghostly tour. Unfortunately they were closed at night so I decided to come back the next day and try it out and by far was amazed on the scenery the decor and items on the food small list by the way. So for appetizers I started with chilled roasted carrots and crispy octopus. For the entree I had a Bolognese. So good in flavorful
Eighteen of us shared a rehearsal dinner meal in the courtyard. It was HOT but the courtyard is lovely and seating was comfortable. The service was excellent and so was the food. Every dish was presented beautifully and unique. We were very appreciative that vegetarian dishes and children's meals were available. Staff went the extra mile to accommodate everyone's needs!
Everything about this place gets 10/10 from us! Stellar, bright, refreshing cocktails! Wonderful, engaging staff and absolutely on point food...we couldn't have asked for more! Ambiance and decor were icing on the cake ?❤️
A family dinner of 21+ people in the courtyard. Perfect weather and the ambience just right. The server was excellent. The menu was put together for us by the restaurant and one of the family members. Food was served family style and there was plenty to eat. The plant based members did not feel they were missing out. This is what we had: STARTERS: Cast iron cornbread, Charred cabbage, Chilled roasted carrots & Crispy Pork Belly. ENTREES: Homeplace pastures pork loin & Cornbread crusted drum. DESSERT: Chocolate Pot de Creme, Banana Pudding & hand pies. We also had a cake from a bakery to celebrate an 80th birthday.
