I cannot recommend this place enough! My boyfriend and I have been many times and are always impressed with their shifting menu and creative choices! I had the best dirty gin martini here, and I love the calm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. It’s tucked away and feels like a secret gem. Can’t wait to go back again!
After visiting Suis Generis for the 3rd time, I have to leave it a 5 star review. The weekly changing menu is a fantastic idea and this restaurant always manages to deliver a delicious and experimental experience. I love visiting new orleans because of restaurants like this. The service is always kind, the drinks are great, and the atmosphere is completely laid back. Just fantastic!
Went for Taco Thursday so cannot comment on the regular menu... Tacos were great and possibly the best Quesadilla I have had anywhere.
A unique little local place with great food and drinks! We started with the pickle plate which was fun with a variety of homemade pickles. The falafel plate was delicious, some of the best falafel I’ve had. Drinks were unique and super tasty. Definitely a great find off the beaten path!
Service could have been improved. Atmosphere is great and welcoming for a chill time. Food needs some expansion, but drink options are good.
Went and had a very cute, low-key brunch with local ingredients on a Saturday. Breakfast burrito was great with the mashed potatoes, which I'd never had before, but is genius because the mashed potatoes can easily spread around all the other ingredients rather than bunching all on one side like regular potatoes usually do. Caramel pear pancakes were UGE and so fluffy. Very affordable compared to some other spots in Bywater. We'll be back to try dinner or their other special nights like Taco Tuesday.
Just left because no one even acknowledged me as I stood no further than 6 feet from the grill where the blonde lady continued to walk passed me but never said anything to me but kept talking/laughing to the 4 top of guys across from where I was. I went there yesterday and bought food and left A VERY GRACIOUS tip and decided I'd go back today- bad idea. Won't ever go back again. How can you sell food but not want to serve people when they come to buy it?!? If you weren't serving any more than at least TELL ME!! SAY SOMETHING!!! Don't ignore someone putting money into a local business!!! I wish I had more hands so I could give it 6 THUMBS DOWN!!! One star is too many!!!
