Stopped by for breakfast and it was a delectable experience. Our waitress was prompt, attentive and courteous. The food was very good. Walked by a couple of other times in the afternoon and they were very busy, which tells me they're doing things right!
This place was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious. It came out in a timely fashion, hot, and seasoned to perfection. There was no wait time and the service was great. If you want to dip off from the crowd and experience a great food, there's more than seafood, It's a must visit!
Great coffee! It was close to the Intercontinental hotel so I stopped here for coffee various times of the day.I also enjoyed some of their breakfast plates like their Traditional Benedict.Their staff is really friendly and makes this establisment all the more inviting to visit.
Great hole in the wall restaurant! I stopped here last minute for a quick dinner on my way to a special event, and I’m glad I did! I got the Seafood Pasta and the King Cake Martini. Both were delicious and it was the perfect amount of food! The wait staff were quiet, but very nice, and it was an enjoyable, quick experience. Would for sure stop here again when I visit NOLA!
The food is pretty overrated. The shrimp and grit doesn’t have enough flavor. The beignet is very inconsistent, 2 out of the 3 we got is not fluffy enough.
Expensive drink’s poorly prepared, bar tender didn’t know what a mimosa was and tiny measure of vodka in vodka and coke $20 really ?
We were looking for a place that served both shrimp (my favorite seafood) AND beignets! The Streetcar Cafe fit the bill! Very large portions, I wish my hubby and I had shared a plate. Also, very reasonable prices! All of the staff we encountered were very friendly! True to the name, there is a streetcar stop right in front of the cafe!
Showed up at 11am for brunch and didn't get in and seated until 1pm, breakfast menu was over and they switched to the lunch menu. Do yourself a favor and avoid any of their pasta dishes, it is the most bland food I had on my entire trip. Service was subpar, expect to ask your server for refills on water. Expect to wait 1+ hours if you don't have a reservation on a Saturday morning. They are not equipped to seat parties larger than 4, so you will be waiting for several parties to leave before you can be seated. Also do yourself a favor and put your name on the waiting list next door... I didn't eat there but it CAN'T be worse than this place and the lines moved faster.
We stayed at the Hilton across the street and found this little place one morning. Although the cafe may be small, that taste was huge! We went for breakfast and had French toast and bacon and a delicious latte. It was so good that we went back for coffee and beignet the same evening, which were amazing. I'm saving Streetcar on my maps for future visits, and you should too!!
The Cajun sausage omelet + shrimp and grits are excellent. 10/10
