Hidden gem in NOLA! Amazing sandwich place with affordable price! Definitely coming back here soon

An amazing find! The Friday special (Cuban) was awesome. So were the Muphuletta, Vegetarian on ciabatta and roast beef on rye. Strongly recommended.

Our son chose this place. We almost missed it - the door was covered with posters, art work, paint etc. The sandwiches were next level. We had roast beef, vegetarian, muffalata and a Po Boy. The bread was so fresh. The food was so good, I wanted to eat here everyday.

I have no words to describe how good this bagel was!! It was incredible and well worth the taxi ride. If you go anywhere for breakfast go here

Steins is the best surly NY like deli in the heart of the Big Easy. You can find owner Dan Stein behind the register most of the time with his no bs attitude. I get the vegetarian sandwich with no cheese on ciabatta for a vegan delight! All their ingredients are fresh and sandwiches are made to order while you wait. Service is fast and relatively friendly. They also have a GREAT beer and drink selection in back plus lots of random grocery items in front.

We were in New Orleans for a few days and were wandering around the Garden District... needed lunch and spotted this place. WHAT A FIND!!!! My partner had the Reuben sandwich and I had a Muffaletta. Both huge, both delish - not cheap but worth every penny. Service took a little while but that's because they make every sandwich fresh (I watched them do it!) and they are deservedly popular, especially at lunchtime. My partner described his Reuben as 'the best thing I ate in New Orleans' and given that we had a lot of great food this is a high compliment!! We would definitely return if we were in New Orleans again. Thank you!

Happened in here by chance when I was in the area. Had an absolutely fabulous sandwich. This place is exactly as it should be - busy, crowded, chaotic and looks a little sketchy, but is the perfect atmosphere for exactly what it is - an amazing quirky old-world neighborhood deli. My food was fantastic. I would absolutely come here again if ever I make it back to New Orleans.

Stein’s Market and Deli had delicious bagels. We had the bagel sandwich with egg, cheese and bacon and a bagel with lox. The bagel with lox was fresh and well made and so was the bagel sandwich.

The Reuben sandwich is OUT OF THIS WORLD. No matter what part of town you are staying at, it is definitely worth the trip.

horrible service, rude staff, good food bit not worth the wait.
