Joan, Jake, and the Snake, if you've been there twice you've made a mistake? Anthony Bourdain told me to come here last time I listen to Yahoo maps!

Definitely the best place to hang out and have a a nice, relaxed - but fun! - evening and have a fabulous time with friends. The Snake and Jakes “backyard” is my fav place in New Orleans. Second to my son’s house, which happens to be nearby =)

Great uptown dive bar in the middle of the Carrollton neighborhood.Cheap drinks, cool dark atmosphere and a great courtyard. If you like dives, worth your time.

Very dark and divey. An awesome staple of New Orleans.

This place is awesome!! The bartenders were absolutely friendly and attentive. The clientel was just as cool. Overall one of the best bars I've been to in this city!

No clue how we got there or even how we got home but we lived a week one night at S&N's. If I can ever find it again, I'll go back.

This is by far the most interesting dive bar I have ever been to. Everything is just unordinary and different the very very cool atmosphere. I promise you're not going to experience anything like this at any bar. It looks like you pulling up to somebody's party but when you go into the bar there's a dog, there is outside, there's a craziness going on. That is super chill playlist I think it's open 24/7! I would call it a little local treasure of New Orleans.

Awesome as always, it has been 4 years since I've been there, I was blessed to go with my two sisters tonight and it was a great time, thanks too the bartender Adam I believe his name is. If I have the name wrong, I know he's worked there for 24 years or so! So there's that. I've always loved the feeling of being kinda laid back in a city of laid back! This is a great spot to get lost in!! Super stars, super chefs, super people come here to be completely free in a city that is completely free" if you dig??

I've had better conversations with strangers here than most other quiet neighborhood places. The rich Tulane kids do sometimes make the place feel like a tourist hotspot, but then not all of them will talk you up about their debutante balls or the trip to Africa their grandmother sent them on... Some will, God help you, but not all of them.Anyway, affordable drinks, good bartenders, dog friendly, strangers mostly willing to converse with strangers. It's a super solid joint

Homey feeling small neighborhood bar with a fantastic outdoor seating area.
