We are from Ohio and this was by far the best seafood restaurant that have us that real New Orleans feel! The lady’s working the counter were very professional and sweet! Next time we are here this will definitely be our FRIST stop.
First, I expect warm greetings and friendly hospitality at any place in New Orleans. So when My family and I walked in Smileys and no one took a pause to even say "Hello" I should have known lt wouldn't be worth it but I was hungry so we stayed. Now after about 10mins of us looking around at the menu and for a place to sit. A Caucasian young lady kindly speaks to us and offers assistance. Now this is a Black owned spot, everybody except this one young lady is black. But yet she's the one to greet us with a smile, everyone even the owner, Yes the owner looked at us with annoyance while we were in there. Like I said I was hungry and I'd rather spend my money with local black owned businesses, so we gave them a chance. We ordered a steak breakfast with french toast, a wrap and a breakfast with pancakes. The steak was tough and had no flavor. The wrap was wet, making the tortilla soggy. I didn't like the way they scrambled the eggs and the grits were too runny. I literally only enjoyed the french toast and pancakes. Imo this place is for the people who are ok with the bare minimum of customer service, food quality, and the food and hospitality experience. I am born and raised in New Orleans, so I will be holding every restaurant accountable because I expect better.
Friendly wait staff. Perfect pancakes, amazing loaded potatoes. Unbeatable prices! Authentic NOLA experience.
Excellent seafood and a little hole in the wall restaurant. Prices and customer service were excellent! I got fried fish and oysters and I highly recommend that dish! Affordable!

Not sure what is going on with Smiley's but definitely not what how I remember. I ordered a lemon pepper wing plate with loaded potatoes and a Caesar salad. Didn't get any dressing with my salad, the wings are okay at best, and the potatoes are nasty. Maybe just an off day but very disappointing.
Ordered food from here on Uber eats, got barely any food and all the Oysters had large pieces of shell in them. I have been eating Oysters and Shrimp my whole life I have never had as bad of an experience as I had eating this places food. I almost broke my tooth.
Good was fantastic got my food pretty fast to say they where busy with only 3 workers and every one their was kind if u need some good food at a reasonable price come here it will be worth it.
Food was absolutely amazing. Drinks are the bomb.
