This is an awesome little coffee and bagel shop in the Marigny district of New Orleans! Located just outside of the French Quarter, we went here on our first morning in town and will definitely be back. The bagels were perfect! Chewy, fresh, and with the usual assortment of flavors: everything, sesame, onion, cinnamon raisin, pumpernickel, and more. Best to get here early as some of the flavors run out as the day progresses. There were several smoked salmon and cream cheese options and fair bit more to choose from to sandwich between the halves of your bagel. The remainder of the menu offered several other fresh options, including plenty of vegan ones. In fact, other than the bagels, everything else on the menu was vegan! I can't comment on those dishes though, as we were focused on the bagels. But, just for reference, they included curry and chaat bowls, salads, and sandwiches, and even a vegan burger. The coffee is ordered at a separate station where I had a fantastic double espresso served with my favorite accompaniment of a small shot of cold soda water on the side. According to the sign, only non-dairy oat milk is served. If you haven't tried it, give it a go. I have switched and never looked back! Get on down here, you will love it!

Delicious food and service. I had the curry plate, mango drink, and banana bread. Many options for vegan and non-vegan customers. Delicious!!!
The dharma bagel is so good. Like… possibly the best bagel sandwich I have ever had. I’m almost sad I discovered this place because I’m going to spend so much money here ha!
I love everything about this place. The NY Bagel with salmon and vegan cream cheese was absolutely delicious. The vibe in there is total "neighborhood bliss." Super friendly baristas making serious coffee. I'd move in if they'd let me :-)
This place was amazing! Great sandwiches, very friendly staff, cute sitting area. The neighborhood is very beautiful. I’m super glad I found it before leaving I don’t think I have had a better salmon bagel.
This place has the best bagels, delicious vegan options, and a great selection of teas! I really recommend their Masala chai tea ? ? ?
Their bagels are flown in from New York! We loved their jalapeño cream cheese made in house. I love the Norwegian bagel sandwich from the menu- perfect smoked salmon with just the right amount of dill and onion. *chef’s kiss*. Samosas are awesome as always, and I liked their vegetarian hamburger made with a beet-potato-pea patty. Their coffee is also great, and everyone there is really friendly. If I was vegan or vegetarian this would be in my daily routine, seems like there were lots of options.
I have been a regular at Small Mart for over 4 years. I hope this place much continued success. Hey Brian...Please do not stop baking the zucchini vegan bread!
Staff on the food side is rude, food is below average and overpriced. $13 bagels that are not that good.
