We sat in the courtyard and had the 4 course Coolinary menu. Everything was delicious from the hummus and bread to start, to the falafel and fetoush salad, the salmon and chicken leg, as well as the seasonal sorbet to wrap things up. The cocktails were inspired and tasty as well. Our server, Dylan, was friendly, informative and responsive. We had a great experience and will certainly be going back!

In an industry that should be known for being customer friendly, Shaya fell way below the bar of adequate. We arrived at 11:50 for a noon reservation. It was pouring rain and we were getting soaked even though we had umbrellas. We tried to open the door and the young hostess gestured it would be 5 minutes. Really? We weren't asking to be served immediately. We just wanted to get in out of the rain! We took cover across the street under a wine store's awning and the staff person ope ened the door and invited us in! After we were seated at Shaya, a couple of tourists came in. They had been caught in the rain with no umbrella and were drenched. Nobody thought to go to the kitchen to get a towel or even offer them an extra napkin. I'm a La. native and run a museum where customer service is something we pride ourselves on. The food was delicious, but we won't be back.
Miller made our visit amazing! Great suggestions and kept our meal moving without rushing us. Honestly could not have asked for a better experience! I hope management appreciates what an wonderful employee they have in her. The food was amazing with great cocktails to go with.
