OUTSTANDING shrimp po-boy
My home away from home. I love this place and the people who own it with all of my heart. I have never been happier with a restaurant in New Orleans in which there are plenty to choose from. I choose to eat at Sammy’s at least 3-5 times a week. And it never gets old. The menu is amazingly large. And Mrs Gina always has something cooking in the kitchen! I could go on forever! But don’t take my word for it. Come on in and judge for yourself. I guarantee you won’t regret it. Peace!
After moving office furniture for my cousin, at the first hint of her wanting to get us all lunch for helping out... Sammy's was the first thing that came to mind. So we made haste getting up out of Kenner and down to Elysian Fields.What can I say.. I just wanted everybody to Taste It..I can't even count the number of times I've eaten there or sent someone else there.And did they disappoint?... Not even once. To be honest, I don't think one could ask a more ridiculous question. If you've never been here before, stop messing around and go show yourself some love... Really!Keep up the good work, People!???
Nice lunch spot with many good choices, but I found out they're not timely at all as our order got lost in their lunch mixup and we had to inquire about it multiple times we were there almost an hour smh
Customer service was so wonderful. Beautiful young ladies, delicious food. I had a great time Thank you so much...traveled from Texas and missed Louisiana food.
Yesterday's visit was interesting. I went to pick up my order and it seemed as if I wasn't there for at least 10 minutes. When a customer enters in , please acknowledge they are there and say I'll be right with you.My meal was ok but something changed. Also the tartar sauce was different and not the same as the one that came with my meal.This is not normal for Sammy's. Maybe I'll try again next month.

Walking in, the restaurant smelled like the delicious food of my childhood. Ordered Oyster Patties for Christmas and they were delicious - shells crisped up nice and airy, the filling had great texture and oyster flavor with no fishy or salty aftertaste. Easy pickup and very attentive service from a great team. I look forward to both eating here and ordering more catering.
Knowledgeable and well-rounded. Home spun secret recipes afoot here. A really amazing deli with a huge following. Very clean tables and helpful staff, a great place to soak in NoLa cuisine
