If I lived here, this would be my grocery store of choice. Fresh produce, nice selection of seafood and the prepared food always smells so good (I've only had the brisket and it was very good). It is conveniently located near where I always stay when I'm in town.
Very high quality baked goods, buffet, meats, and produce. Fair pricing . Neat store well stocked. Helpful respectful staff. Plentiful parking. Security on premises.
Swung in here a couple times on Vacation and it was a great stop. Lots of fresh options, great beer selection and enough staples to get you by. They even have Cigars :)
I stopped by this place due to nothing more than simple curiosity. I haven't been inside the property since the previous establishment (Schwegmans) closed due to hurricane Katrina. Boy was I surprised!This is a store laid out for "browsing" rather than "getting the grocery shopping done". Wandering through the different areas felt surprisingly calm, almost cozy. They have a lovely selection of grab and go food for folks on their way home from work. This includes a sushi/bento type bar, fresh pizza and stromboli, as well as a full salad bar, and more. They ARE a bit pricey, but considering that I felt tension easing as I wandered, well worth the cost.
Thiis place truly amazed me it made my top grocery store back home (publix) feel like a run down convenient store compared to this.
I love grocery stores. Though this isn’t my favorite Robért, it’s easily the closest one to home and I’m in and out of here all the time. That hot bar is such a fine spot for grabbing a few tasty fried things to bring home and use for a fancier feast than I’d have otherwise enjoyed. As long as that fried catfish is fresh and fried shrimp is in on bar, I’m going to keep enjoying my quick trips for crunchy treats.
Robert is my neighborhood supermarket. A little bit higher end, but always well stocked and a very helpful staff. Their salad/hot bar is always excellent. High quality meats and produce. They also often have sales on meat, you just have to watch the specials. Roberts was badly missed after Katrina. I'm so glad it's back.
I called the store to see if there were tuna finger sandwiches already made on a Saturday morning. I wanted to order them the day before for a party I was going to but I forgot. The young lady told me there were none already made but she would make them for me to pick up and she would have them ready in an hour! I absolutely love this store!
Pretty well stocked with lots of fresh and prepared foods. I was surprised that they didn't carry yucca. There were good sales, the shop was clean, and the checkout lines went pretty fast.
This place is great. Fresh food, has everything you may need or want, its close by, the customer service is amazing. It does get busy at times, but its worth the wait.
